Someone has committed but has asked Burns to wait until later tonight to release it. It's definitely not Ragnow, as Burns said he is still trying to get in touch with him. I wouldn't look too much into the word huge, I think he would probably use that term for any commit if for no other reason than to drive traffic to the site.

edit: not that it really matters but where did he say 'huge news' I only see 'big news' in the tweet. Just semantics but I'm curious.
 




Maybe the 400 pound RB committed and that is what he meant by "huge"?
 

Anyone else notice that Ragnow has predicted Kafo and Herrod to Minnesota? I didn't even know recruits could make predictions.

You're right it is Big News, thanks for the correction!
 




Burns tends to use whatever verbiage necessary to get more hits on his site and more people to pay that subscription. Odds are it's Herrod, Kafo, Blasingame, etc. Someone who has already been a strong Gopher lean.

none of those guys are "huge" or "big", id be happy with those guys but none are huge or big unless we're recruiting against georgia state and western kentucky

Christian Russell is a good bet. He said was still planning on his UCF visit next week, but also said we're the clear cut leader & that if he liked things on his visit he could commit this weekend. We're in very good shape here by all accounts.

Poock sounds like he'd like to commit as well, but needs to speak to Mom & Dad when he gets home. I expect he'll commit tomorrow.

One poster suggested Blasingame may have committed since he's been a huge Gopher lean for so long & he brought his parents up with him on this official. It would make sense.

When asked which recruit was most impressed by the Game/TCF/Atmosphere Burnsie said "Ragnow", so maybe that's the big commit?

Also, Ragnow predicting Kafo & Herrod to Minnesota might be telling? I'd love to have both those guys.

Interesting that rivals lists Iowa and Nebraska as having offered but nobody else does.
 




PiPress: Gophers football: Excited recruits brighten Jerry Kill's mood

However, after visiting that evening with six players he is recruiting for Minnesota, Kill's enthusiasm about the future of the Gophers' program was back in high gear. Those recruits and three Kill talked to Sunday all gushed about the atmosphere provided by a pumped-up TCF Bank Stadium crowd of 53,090.

"They were excited about the game," Kill said Sunday. "Every one of those recruits said, 'Man, this place loves football.' "

Although a bitter wind and temperatures in the teens welcomed fans at game time Saturday, the recruits Kill spoke with lifted his spirits.

"I haven't had one person say anything about the weather," he said. "Seriously."

Any word on Ploock the linebacker from Iowa

Any chance Ploock the linebacker from Iowa has comitted to the Gophers? This is a guy I would like to see on our defense.
