I'm actually quite impressed with Pitino that he didn't force him back in there in the 2nd half. Almost impossible for Buggs to live up to his first half. Bank that performance as a confidence builder and do exactly what that phrase means, build on it. Buggs is going to get scouted, but to be honest, he didn't show much more than an outside shot tonight. He was operating against a zone a lot of the time and some heavy pressure, he seemed to have a quick first step especially against White on the outside a couple times he created space with ease to move the ball.
Defensively I didn't see much for concern or confidence. And as far as the complaints about him looking lost, he certainly does. I definitely saw the leaders telling him where to go on defense, and helping him find his man. I think he will continue to see spells to see if he can cause a difference and a quick leash.
I'm very anxious to see what Pitino does with him, how much of his "maturity" issues resurface to hold him back.
