I didn't see the game and if that happened I'm sure Brohm has talked about it. He always has an excuse and blames someone else. It seems like that team is always complaining after a loss. He is a great OC but not a leader or a good head coach. I hope purdue keeps him.
The atmosphere has been great the last few years, so from a fan environment perspective getting a sellout is not a priority. The athletic dept. wants more season tickets, so why would they discount single-game tickets every week just to try to get a sellout? They are trying to get new season...
There are a lot of different ways to win in college football. As you stated it is rare to have qb who can do it all. If you look at the top 15 teams last year, I bet most did not have 2 stud receivers or a stud qb (outside of a couple of blue-blood programs).
2019 was the best gopher season...
"Forced out" seems unlikely. Scholarships cannot be taken away. I find it hard to believe that a coach could consistently "force" players out without Reusse, Souhan, wcco or a random professor being all over it.
I assume the players were told the truth and it probably wasn't easy to hear...
I heard that interview and did not take his comment that way. What I heard was more specific to his Kansas days, but still relevant to Minnesota. He was saying if a guy had all the measurables and was a good player, he was probably going to be recruited by bigger schools and would likely go...
How many "complete" quarterbacks do you believe are in the B1G and do you think the gophers will eventually have one? If a guy has all the traits you are looking for he will be a first round draft pick. Those guys are hard to find, especially at MN.
I agree that Morgan has flaws, but he is...
I'm not trying to twist your statements, but many successful coach's worst year is year 1. Mason and Kill's first years were their worst. Brewster had one win in year 1 and 4. So I don't agree with your drop the worst and best theory, regardless of year. I think a coaches worst year in year...
