Cody Poock looks like a solid LB, I think he would be a nice addition.
Looks like Free Flow Phil has some competition. Almost Fabio like.

he has a very good offer list from Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, Syracuse, Iowa State, Kansas and Northern Illinois, and his 247 crystal ball is predicted 86% to Minnesota
Actually, Henry had several big catches over the course of the season (probably only six or seven catches, but I think every one of them was clutch - and he did have one key drop as well).
Costa Rican's note about Matilus being moved to fullback was the first I've heard of this, but it actually makes a lot of sense to me. He's uber-physical, but he's too slow to play outside (and maybe inside) and not an ideal size to play in the middle. As a lead-blocking fulback, as physical as he is, that could be an ideal spot for him.

I don't think CR was saying Matilus will start, just that he'd moved to FB.
Has anyone actually confirmed that Matilus has indeed moved to FB?
No. Seems like a lot of assuming going on. If the offensive scout team award includes special teams, odds are that's how Jephte won it.

The problem with that is he was involved on a lot of special teams and I have a hard time believing he was on the scout special teams as well (tough to be in 2 places at once). Unless it includes special teams starters but I would have thought that would have it's own award.
Outside of Cockran, none of those guys have really stood out. Amafuela has been a two-year starter and is rarely in the backfield. I'm big on Keith, but he's a bit smallish. There were a lot of games last year Perry didn't even play.It kind of confused me that we were going after a JuCo DE for a couple reasons. First, this is a smallish class. Second, we have quite a bit of depth at DE (Cockran, Amafuela, Perry, Keith (also Salzwedal and maybe Ekpe (he might grow into a DT)
The Gophers have offered (dependent on an incoming ACT score) and set an official with another tall, fast, under-the-radar type WR named Isaiah Gentry from Ohio. He's currently committed to Kent State. I think Holland's highlights are slightly more impressive but I really like how Gentry catches the ball with his hands. His visit is Jan. 24th.

He's big and very fast. I sometimes wonder when a kid is listed with a 4.4 time, but he seems to have legit down the field speed. The thing that stuck out most to me was his ability to adjust to the ball when it's in the air.

Wouldn't you like to know?![]()
Wonder who he is talking about!?!
