It's nice for the Gopher hoopers to get an extra day of rest in SoCal but it seems like it would have made more sense to play tomorrow at Pauley.

I would guess that the In-N-Out tasted even better after defeating the Trojans.

Depends on how long they had to wait in line. My last visit around Thanksgiving was impressive as always but pushed the edges “fast food” as I lingered with dozens and dozens of inside customers battling the three block line of drive through patrons.

It should be the U asking for their degree back if his posts here are any indication of how hard he worked in grad school :ROFLMAO:

I had a similar thought when I read that post: "You went to graduate school? I wouldn't have guessed that."

We may not only be in but get a first round bye. However, 8 plays 9 and the winner plays 1.
But, is there a team in the Big Ten that's lights out awesome, unbeatable?

Get the 8 or 9 seed...win 4 games and go dancing!

Feeling good, Lewis! (Trading Places reference)

Wow! It's not often that you get a weekday slate with such Weakling Wednesday Dropout implications!
Definitely change could be brewin' tonight. I think Washington beats Rutgers to get above the cutline, and certainly if Penn State wants any sniff of the top 15 it has to win tonight and then follow up by beating the Gophers.

You know, I think this regular feature of yours has served to drum up enthusiasm for watching the conference's basement dwellers. I know it has for me. They need some fan interest too!

I wouldn't mind getting another crack at Indiana. Maryland, though little depth. not so much.

I don’t get Rutgers. They should be much better than their record shows. I know Harper was hurt for a while but with two first round draft choices you should not be in a race to the bottom. I’m beginning to wonder if Peikels system too complex for 19 year olds.

I still don’t want anything on the line when we play either them or Nebraska on the road.

Yeah it is funny having this much interest in the bottom of the standings but has been fun to track it like the race for the top spot. :)

Looking at remaining schedules, it's going to be difficult for any of the current Three Turds to escape Big Ten Tournament purgatory. Washington probably has the best chance with games left that include @ Iowa (Saturday), Indiana (March 1), and Oregon (March 9). If Iowa beats the Huskies on Saturday and the Gophers simply split Penn State/Northwestern, IMO this trifecta is going to be our final Weakling Wednesday Dropouts.

Piekel is at his best when he has old, brawny, bruisers and play in your face defense. I don't think the freshmen will be around long enough to get on the Rutgers strength program.

If Washington can beat Iowa they definitely have a good shot of getting out of the bottom 3 but agree that Penn State and Northwestern feel like locks (especially if we take care of business this week).

To me the magic number to avoid the bottom 3 is probably 7 wins. With 4-5 games left it feels unlikely that any of the current bottom 3 are likely to be able to do better than 3-2 and that is probably a stretch. So if you can get to 7 you are in good shape. 6 might be safe as well but 7 feels like a virtual lock.

As talented as Harper and Bailey are- it's pretty tough for freshman to drive winning on a consistent basis. Especially when they're your two best players.

Perhaps I jumped the gun on burying Northwestern.

Wildcats opening up a can of whoop a*s on the Buckeyes in Columbus. Up 23 in the second half. Chris Collins’ boys showing a lot of fight.
And PSU did last night. The odds of the Gophers sweeping them are being over-stated. Less than 50/50 to both of them for sure.
