Wow, not looking so good anymore, didn't see that one coming.

Sorry for not posting on here last night, I was super tired when I got home and just went straight to bed, anyways, "my source" says that the family has laid off the stanford talk, and want Reid to pick the school that he personally is most comfortable with, and everyone in the family believes that Minnesota is that school. He is not made his decision final to the family yet, but the family believes he had made up his mind over the weekend to attend Minnesota from discussions they have had with him, and the parents encouraged him to shadow some classes at the business school. The family is hesitant to talk to the media about which school he is leaning or eliminating schools because they want reid to have his moment on friday, but him wanting to go to Minnesota is like the "elephant in the room" in the Travis family.

When asked why Minnesota, I was told number 1 factor was he just just feels comfortable there. The U made him feel welcomed for years, He has gotten to know a lot of the administration there over years and developed a good relationship with them. He has been really impressed by what he has seen at the practice sessions he has attended at Minnesota, and feels like the coaching staff will make him into a better player. But the ultimate reason he says, was current players, and future players (2014 commits) reaching out to him, and making him feel wanted.

He also said that Duke's downfall was ultimately how late they got into the process.

is the family getting annoyed with your source's presence yet? lol.

Thanks for the updates though. it's definitely making it easier to track this whole situation

who is travis reid and why post about him in this thread???

Any reports of Duke going after other PF recruits after their long chat with Reid last week????

Amelia is GuyFawkes. GuyFawkes is Amelia. Finkle is Einhorn...!

I wouldn't be posting on here because I would be too busy standing in front of a mirror naked if that was the case

The DLS gym needs to be packed by 2:30 with Maroon and Gold clad Gopher fans for a Gopher/Reid pepfest!!! Just let him try to commit elsewhere! This promises to be a great day for us.

If I was Pitino, I would send the Gopher band and cheerleaders over there. What's the NCAA rules on that?

I was just on one of the Duke sites (link below) and the top 3 articles all about Looney or Travis don't mention any back up plans to Travis. They just talk about Jahlil, Tyus & Winslow but nothing about PFs besides Reid... They also still have Gonzaga as a possible spot for Travis to go (c'mon guys you wrote the articles within the last few days) so I'm not sure what to make of the guys writing it.

http://dukereport.com/duke-basketball-recruiting/

I also checked two of their forums and the guys on each basically said they don't think PF is a huge need... They were very confident about Winslow (SF), Jahlil & Tyus all playing for the Blue devils so they didn't really seem to care about the PF position past Looney & Travis. THat's all I've got for you at the moment Winasota!

You can cut the excitement with a knife.

Reid Travis: "I would always consider the “U” on the top of my list, no matter what."

He will land in Minnesota. Has to.

Nothing would make me happier than seeing them wiff on all of them....

Where is this from?

Where is this from?

Said it a long time ago in an interview. My interpretation was that he didn't actually mean always number one, but just always in the top tier. Otherwise that would be essentially a commitment.

Yeah that's what I was gunna say too. Didn't he also say he likes the idea of playing at home because of the chip on his shoulder thing?

Can't remember the quote exactly, but he said something about that and liking to represent his state I believe.

Coincidence that he’s announcing a few hours prior to Pitino’s first non-exhibition game as Gopher coach….hmmmmm….I think not.

You're definitely MVP of Gopherhole lately. These updates have been great. However, if he doesn't commit...

We must be the zealots he's talking about.

That tweet is the most I have read of anything by Reusse in many months.

Let's just knock on wood and hope he's right!

I have to imagine Reusse was one of the talking heads that declared well over a year ago that we weren't going to get any of the Big 3. I wouldn't know for sure because I don't read his stuff or follow him on twitter.

I was thinking: Since Reusse started calling Jerry Kill "Country Jer" I think it would be fitting and appropriate to start calling him "Homeless Pat".
