Other Bowl Games Thread

Really wish the National Championship was tomorrow night. I get that they don't want to go up against the NFL on Saturday or Sunday, but Friday night would seem to make for a better night of viewing. I like to go and watch big games with friends at bars, but a lot more fun to do that on a Friday night than a Monday.

If anyone had a brain you’d maximize ratings by colluding to have a 1230 and 4 nfl game followed by a 730pm national title game on Saturday

And if nfl didn’t agree put the national
Title game at 4 and the second playoff game at 730

Yep, I'll miss the first half of the game Monday just like I did the Thursday semifinal last week due to kids activities.

I wish the game was on Saturday as well but I'm pretty sure most of the data points to more viewers on a Monday since people are out and about on Friday/Saturday nights.

That’s why the nfl has Super Bowl Monday and playoff games this weekend are Sunday Monday right?

Conventional wisdom isn’t giving the Domers much chance. Mainly the OSU receivers versus the ND pass defense. I’ve seen both teams lay eggs this year, so I don’t know. Can Notre Dame manufacture turnovers, run the ball.

Go Irish.

I like OSU tonight by about 10. What do you think?
If both teams play their best I like Ohio state by 10-20
But Ohio state only plays their best about half the time

Hoping for a close game that’s entertaining

Don't have a good feel about who might win this one. I have noted that Day talks about momentum all the time, and Fleck does not believe in it. Different approaches...

To be honest I forgot about this game. The season is way too long and anticlimactic. I guess for me I can only take so much football.

Couldn’t have asked for a better start for ND. I told my wife before the game that they have to control TOP to have a chance to win.

Lot of carries and hits to put on your QB in that first drive. Could come back to haunt them but it worked great.

He won't finish the game if he keeps taking hits like that.

At least for his sake the Ohio state drive took a while and had a quarter break so he had quite a bit of time to catch his breath.

The commercials after every play will also help.
Just said he had about 22 minutes of real time and that was before this most recent 4 minute commercial break so probably closer to a half hour at this point since he was out there last.

2 minutes of football 10 minutes of commercials seems to be the ratio.
