Garcia would be a good second fiddle. Zero assists tonight. He's got great ability around the bucket but the greatness ends there. He doesn't play team ball and he doesn't play defense.
He sucked tonight. Why single him out, the game was lost early in the second half. Just show him that you have confidence in him and let him play through it. Close game? Sure, sitting him is fine if the other players are carrying the load. That wasn't happening.
Come on. He’s a 3 level scoring, 6’10 skilled big. Can shoot, handle, and pass. Hard to blame him for this shit show. It shouldn’t be hard to build around a player like him and we probably won’t see a player as good as him in years, very easily one of the best players in the conference

I think he could too. Unlike our regular guards, he seems to have confidence in his shot. You don't see him repeatedly driving in closer because he doesn't have the confidence to shoot from three point range.
He seems like an OK player, but there's a reason he left both Marquette and UNC.

It's a team game. Garcia played poorly against Ohio State and that was probably our best game of the year. He's the team leader on a team that is likely to lose 18-20 Big Ten games this year. He is supposed to be all Big Ten. Good players win.
I hear you. But you have to get out of that mindset. Karl Towns lost with terrible teams around him pre-Edwards. Justin Jefferson lost with a terrible team around him last year

He left the Carolina team after 18 games. The team was 12-6 (mostly non-conference) with him and 17-4 (ACC and NCAA Tournament games) without him. He's got really good skills. Really good. Teams he is on don't win.
Karl Towns was on the team that landed Edwards. Now everyone misses Towns. Speaking of Edwards, he was on a terrible Georgia team, guess lots of folks wouldn’t want him on this team either

There are great players that coaches have to get control of and funnel in the right direction. Edwards played under Crean who I would not want as a coach. I admit I am surprised at where we are right now without Towns. Let's see how the season ends. Garcia could be a really good player on a well coached team.
