Guarding the other teams 3? Goodness gracious. I’m all for blaming Ben, but that is worse than any decision he’s ever made. He can’t play the 4 cause he has 0 skill offensively and you don’t want Garcia banging/racking up fouls guarding other teams 5s. Fox is a small ball 5

Fox gets burned every time he plays against a decent post player and Ben does not play help defense in the post. If you watch our games, Fox gets almost all of his baskets off of cuts to the basket.

Garcia is a terrible defender. That is the reason that Ben thinks he has to play Fox at the 5. A good offensive player should be able to defend as well, but that is just not Garcia's thing.

Yeah man I watch almost every game. Fox gets burned every time he plays a decent post cause he’s not big enough. And he’s not quick enough to guard 3s on the perimeter. And if Fox is your 3 that’s even less spacing offensively man. He’s basically Rudy Gobert offensively, he’s got no skill. I know he’s a good kid, but he’s hardly playable in the big ten…think Wisconsin proved that tonight

His best role is 5-10 minutes/game of energy off the bench. Edmonds should start at center. He's not great, but he's the best option.

It could be that team speed, which is on pace with a Farmall H pulling a 3 bottom plow, has something to do with it.

Yep. Fox is way too small. Frank Mitchell is....oh my. Fantastic recruiting job.
 


I know Williams isn't the answer but dude was a proven scorer at his level why not give him a run and see what he can do and some of the other guys. What's the difference if you lose by 25 instead of 20 at least send a message to the seniors.
 


Pull Groves redshirt. Asuma, Mitchell, Betts, Grove and Garcia. Only players worth watching on this team. Youth and older guys who have earned their stripes couldn’t care less about any of the other guys

Yes. That's why I'd play him spot minutes harrassing the other team's 3 man with his energy and setting screens on offense. Playing him in the post is insane.

But there is no system here. There is no plan. It's just guys playing pickup ball on our side.

There’s tons of reasons to rip Ben, but no coach on the planet would consider playing Fox at the 3 man. He doesn’t have the foot speed and is a 0 offensively

So he has no foot speed, he lacks height and cannot shoot a lick. Why is he starting or playing at all?

I’m wondering the same thing brother. That’s the whole point. That’s the problem with Minnesota basketball. Fire Ben and revamp the roster. I feel for Dawson and Mike Mitchell
 

Ben’s talk before the game. Hey boys! Dawson only had 5 points last game. We need to make sure he gets at least 20 points. Mitchell, I need you to sit in the corner while Lucye and Femi handle the ball up top. You don’t have any plays today. Lucye, you will only come out when the game is out of control. Your dad said try to score early so you can get your points so I can make your him happy. Femi you will be open on threes because you are one our best shooters. They will leave you open. Fox try to guard the 7 footer because we can’t let Edmonds on the court. This is the game plan. We will lose by 25+ but it doesn’t matter. Ready boys? Let’s go!

None. They all suck. This team is terrible. Johnson needs to be fired yesterday. But Asuma had absolutely nothing. I don’t think we’re gonna stunt his development by having him sit one game where he really sucks. He’s gonna get plenty of playing time the rest of the year.
