Cobbs and Iverson have gotten much better away from MN.

Quality defense leads to offense. When they play intelligently and with strong instincts, they force turnovers and get out in space. 44 points to Purdue in a half is awful. Coaches can't do anything to help in-game defensive effort except for a swap in personnel.

Let me guess, you checked some season stats and determined that, right? You saw that Cobbs is able to light up hapless Pac-12 defenses and that Colton does well against the tiny, unskilled big men in the Mountain West, right?

Cobbs is a bench player in the Big Ten. Colton is a role player. Those players succeed outside of the Big Ten because defense outside of the Big Ten is terrible

The Gophers were favored. My Purdue moneyline +130 looks good right now. Doesn't make it less pathetic to watch.
 


Not that it's any real insightful commentary (and it's all true), but it gets old hearing the announcers talk every game about how confused and uninspired the Gophs look on the floor. Is that coaching, lack of basketball IQ or a talent issue? All of the above???

You're an idiot. You're calling out people for supporting their team. Just because not everyone is as miserable as you all the time doesn't make them delusional.

I will ask this again and please answer. What should everyone do? Get pissed off on a message board? Throw eggs at Tubby's house? Kick our dogs? Some people act like they're so much better because they are mad all the time, therefore they expect more out of the program. Most everyone expects more than what we're seeing. Most everyone is pissed off right now. Just because they try to stay positive no matter how bad things get doesn't make them a bad fan. Get off your high horse.
 

The ability to not be mentally prepared to play on the road rests SOLELY with the coaching staff. How many years are we going let Tubby skate by because he won a national championship with kids he didn't recruit? I'm afraid, not only are we not going to get ANY of the Big 3 with Tubby as coach, we may lose some players at the end of this season. This is a joke. NO ONE will tell me that Purdue has better athletes than we do...
 


So Welch starts two game, plays pretty well (even on defense at times) and doesn't even sniff the floor in the first half of this game?
