*** OFFICIAL GOPHERS-PURDUE GAME THREAD ***

Do you understand how the coaching dynamic works? It's a two way street. You can kindly try to teach a cat to do tricks, but if it doesn't want to do it, then it's not going to.

You guys can't just keep barking "Tubby MAKE THEM BETTER" and have it come true. No coach in history has been able to coach players that don't give the necessary effort to work and get better.

You have to admit, lately the in game threads have more entertaining than the actual games.

Tubby's refusal to play anyone with 2 fouls in the first half is both archaic thinking, but also gutless when you're down 20....What do you have to lose Tubby????

why is ingram flaring so hard on an off the ball screen 35 ft from the hoop?

That is why u recruit quality shooters and smart, fundamentally sound kids and yes a coach has the ability to make players better, just look at Bo Ryan.

The all state commercial kind of reminded me of how this season is going. Expect the worst and be happy when things go right.

You just ruined an entertaining thread by mentioning that name.

Any team in the league save maybe PSU would be giving Purdue a better game. In terms of how they're playing right now, our team is the 11th best in the conference.

I wonder how well this gophers team would match up against that Monsters U squad. We might pull off a road win if the join the conference.

Ok, realistically let's just cut this down to 11 or 12 and see how the second half plays out.

Austin made a 3! May the curse be over. We need 6 more in this game!

If you want to run a half-court system, sure. However, everyone here wants the "exciting" brand of basketball that flies up and down the court. Everyone's favorites are Trevor, Rodney, and Andre, right? They are athletes. Unfortunately, the Gophers haven't had the ability to recruit the necessary 4 and 5 star athletes that come with other skills. Players have to work themselves on developing FT shooting ability, mid-range jump shots, and post moves. Yes, coaching is important in doing that, but can you guys point to anything specifically out of game that Tubby has done to hurt development?
