*** OFFICIAL GOPHERS-PURDUE GAME THREAD ***

After seeing him shoots brick after brick in garbage time, the chance of that happening is at a solid 3%.

Better than the 0% effort we are getting from Austin and Coleman

Purdue has no less than 3 uncontested lay ups. If I was Wally, I would jack it up every time I touched it. No one else is scoring, maybe he will get hot.

I would if I was EE at the top of the key uncontested like he always is!! If he made 1 out of 4, I would be happy!!

Tubby looks clueless. Hopefully after he throws his players under the bus one more time, he'll just walk away.

well of course it's sarcasm, but what is the point. They can't do anything away from the barn

The point is if tubby gets fired a new coach can come in with 3 starters from a tourney team, I think it helps make the job a little better...not significantly

Honestly the 06-07 team was less frustrating to watch. At least you knew they were going to lose and could enjoy the rare win.

I could use another post on how good are RPI is and how are non-conference opponents are doing.

Do people finally realize that a ton of this is on the players? Defensive effort and communication is garbage....team can't make perimeter shots... Nothing a coach can do about that. At some point the players have to step up and decide they want to get better.

Thankfully all of these guards will have an off season to develop, because they clearly need it.

Our neutral record is fine. Dumb comment not worthy of it's own thread.

They are calling everything on the purdue offensive end, this is sick. Ticky tack, gophers cant by a break.

is welch hurt? or did he just go from starting to no minutes?

Tubby has two options:

1. Bow out gracefully and the fans won't hate you nearly as much.

2. Gorge our department for more money.

I will say it for the thousandth time. Tubby recruited these players, he is supposed to make them better. He never has and never will. Time to move on.

It's possible they can negotiate for him to 'retire' for a lesser amount, but would you give up $2.5 million so that people in a state you'll probably never set foot in again will hate you a little less?
