Ok, I'll bite in this new world of eligibility. If he played 3 years, even if 1 was technically a redshift, how does he have 3 left? He wasn't here for the Covid year.
I thought Bryson might have been a candidate to replace Henderson in the defensive set. Who do we currently have on the roster to slot in at that position. The current set of safeties look to be too small to play that particular role.
Maybe Gerlach? I don’t think that role necessarily has to match Henderson’s size.
His brother is a 26 wr. Has a ton of great offers. Probably a bit of a long shot anyway.
One guy that hasn't been mentioned as a replacement for Henderson is Perich. In some packages he could slide up and play Henderson's role while Brown and Gousby play the safety positions.
I think Gerlach is as big as Henderson ... maybe bigger.

Karmo I believe is a LB and Henderson's position is more of a DB. It will be interesting to see how the defensive staff adapts with the returning talent.
He’s listed as being 6-3&1/2 and 222. I’ve seen him shown as an edge and a lb. I suppose it depends on much weight he adds as to what position he plays. If he doesn’t add much weight I feel he could be a big db. Henderson’s position is sort of a combo db/lb position like what we used to call a rover. Anyway it will be interesting to see where they play him.
You may or may not be right on Karmo but it is always risky to expect much from a true freshman in college football. Most players need some time to develop. There are exceptions like Perich but more often then not the best thing for a true freshman is to redshirt and spend that first year acclimating to the massive jump from high school to power 4 football.

McMillan took some snaps there last year. Think he has a year left? Could see Darius Green in the Henderson spot if he's healthy. Be similar to Flip Dixon in that regard. Might be times situationally we sneak Perich down there with Gousby and Brown playing back
He’s an early enrollee so if his talent is as good as I think it is this will be a big advantage for him.
Getting here in the spring would definitely up the odds of him playing early if he is talented enough to make the jump. Had Perich been here in the spring he probably would have started from day 1 as opposed to having to work his way into the lineup.
I’m pumped about Karmo, hoping he can be a real difference maker at LB/Edge.

Probably my error...the 2024 roster said he had 3 years left to play. I interpreted that to mean he had 3 years left to play. But I think what they mean is three years including this year....which to me is confusing. So, my bad. Guessing it is actually 2 years left to play.
