We lose JJ then fire Kill.
Dumb.
We lose JJ then fire Kill.
Is there reason to be concerned?

I really hope that the Kill can get all of these top Minnesota kids to stay home and play for the Gophers.
@JoshHelmholdt: #Minnesota RB commit Jeff Jones talked with HC Jerry Kill, will explore his options. Visited #ISU Saturday

This bothers me. I'm not going to pretend like this doesn't mean anything. We need to lock up these local kids and hope they all pull a Tommy Olson and Phil Nelson.
Lots of players take visits at other schools after they have verbally committed. But I agree, it's a little curious.
As for the local kids, we haven't even offered all the top D1 talent in the state yet--- which I still don't understand. I've seen it too many times where we offer later than Becky or Iowa and end up losing our ability to say, "Well, you were our guy first".

I agree. I suppose I can understand if it's a kid at the margin of being D1 (and I'll leave that to the coaching staff to make that assessment), but there's no excuse for us not to be the first one at the dance when the kid is clearly at a D1 level. I'll have to admit that I can't assemble a list of when we've ignored a local kid, but there's little doubt that we have.
