Kentucky has 5 WR commits right now and baker is the highest rated of them all. Would be a huge get, also really liked Holland's film, is it too much to ask for them both?

I'd definitely take both too. It sounds like they'll take 2 or 3 WR's this class so it's possible.

Holland comes out with an 86% pick % from 247 for what it's worth. Baker would be a huge get looking at his highlights.
 



Sounds like Baker is good friends with De'Niro Laster, a 2013 LB commit. They went to the same high school. Laster tweeted today "Can't wait to see my lil bro today" so they must be pretty close. Hopefully that helps us land him.
 

Man, really hope we get this Baker kid. We need WR talent NOW and it should be apparent that we are a team on the rise!
 

We need playmakers, period. Get Jones, Baker, Lewis, Holland, Kemp, and whoever else on offense (I'd take all of them), with Ragnow, Mayes leading the way for this class, and this will be a GREAT class.
 

This staff seems really plugged into who they want. They are getting a 4* guy committed to an SEC to come on a visit. They are also getting two guys who were committed to a school who lost there coach four days ago to get on a plane and fly here this weekend. Pretty impressive.
 



Winning helps recruiting and helps convince a kid to get on a plane and come visit. Keep them warm and busy.

Get them over to Fogo Chao and to the game at Target center and we will get many of the kids we want this weekend. Where there is a will there is a way.
 

Christian Russell is a 4 star on ESPN, i didn't know if he always was but he is now, man if we got keep jeff jones committed and land Ragnow, baker, Russell, and Tegray scales to go along with connor mayes that would be six guys ranked 4 stars by at least one service, mayes is 4 stars on scout, Tegray on scout, baker on rivals, russell on ESPN and Rivals is the only site that doesn't have ragnow with 4 stars and JJ is a consensus 4 stars, wow! it is still a long shot that we get all of those guys but still, it would help to win our bowl game by 10+ points to get these guys, and then if get a guy like Patrick porter who isn't rated a 4 star but has the offer list of a 4 star (11 offers from BCS schools) then this would be a hell of a class

It sure sounds like Russell is UCF bound unfortunately. Scales is a guy I hope they convince to take an official here. Getting Ragnow and Baker might be a long shot but it wouldn't shock me if they pull it off. I love the staff's recruiting philosophy. They are patient, persistent, have a plan, and do a great job of identifying talent to fit their system.

getting Ragnow isn't a longshot at all, we are actually considered the favorite

They're very good friends. Million dollar question is, is this just a courtesy visit to see his buddy or is the interest legit?

I think better than 50/50. He's done way to many unofficial visits not to have a large interest in the U. I think we've got a really good chance at committing him soon.

I highly doubt it will be soon. He has said he wants to take all of his official visits and 247 shows him visiting Wisconsin on Jan. 24th. I agree he's definitely interested in the U, but look at his offer list, he has the opportunity to join the possible national champs.

NU got a commit today from 4 tar DE/TE Garrett Dickerson who is an ESPN300. He chose NU over Stanford. His brother plays WR for NU.

Sounds like we made a good impression on Baker. From what I've heard people think he's pretty solid to Kentucky but hopefully that's not the case anymore.
 

I think another solid bowl performance (hopefully a win this time) will sway some fringe recruits.

Curious about the field. Is there a tarp, or did they plow off the M? I'm assuming the field would be protected and tucked away for the winter
