Wouldn't be surprised at all with a commit from Herrod soon. I bet he is the heir apparent to Big Donny/Rod for the bruising back role.

He certainly is talking like he is pretty much already a commit in that tweet.

You know who wasn't even ranked in his own state and only had a Ball St. offer other than from us? Derrick Wells, people seem to think he's pretty good nonetheless. Besides, a Utah St. offer is a pretty good one if I do say so myself ;)

Utah St. is probably one of.....if not the best non-bcs team in the nation. They made it look like we were taking it easy on SJSU.

Losses to Utah (Beat Stanford and we were the better team), USC (Very good defense), BYU and Boise State. The last two losses came after darkhorse heisman candidate Chuckie Keeton blew out his knee and is done for the season. Maybe not the best non-BCS (Fresno or NIU?) but a very good, veteran squad.

I do know (and it was mentioned in another thread) that Elmore currently plays both ways

Keep in mind that our offense uses 2-3 TE sets on almost every play. As funny as it sounds, we need as many TEs as we do WRs.

My understanding is that the staff sees Lingen as an on-the-line blocking TE, so he will end up replacing Goodger/Plsek. Elmore is viewed as an H-back, the role Maxx Williams currently plays.
 

I do think it's a possibility Elmore plays DE for us. I'm almost positive Stelter will be a DT.

Agree on both, but we are still heavily recruiting 2 other DEs (Kafo and Hill) who will both be here in November on officials.
 

Are we out for Ragnow or where do we stand on him? He definitely has to be one of our biggest possible gets yet

He sure sounded excited when he got that tOSU offer. We can only hope that he sees how successful he can be in our system and how much our guys love their coaches and teammates and convince him to stay home.
 

I think Ragnow will genuinely have a tough time saying no to Kill but in the end the Ohio State or Florida State offer will be too good to pass up. The last two wins definitely don't hurt though.
 

Maybe Elmore should be playing DE at the next level.

I think there is a chance at that happening. I'm guessing he will redshirt either way next year as we are pretty deep at both positions so they may give him a chance to try both.
 

I agree completely. If we can pick up a win against psu and then steal one from Wisconsin or state its gonna give us a lot better pitch recruiting wise.
 

just curious as to what you guys think about todays win and recruiting especially since indy's been having a lot of success and is viewed as the program on the rise. Do you think this makes any kids see that we are further along in the transition and how much solidarity the team has and how much they love their coaches?

Kill is really making recruiting a priority right now with everything that has happened regarding his health. Sounds like it is going well.

Maybe I'm dumb but I can't figure out who this is. His name is not listed on his twitter account.
