What is really tough for Nebraska fans is the defense started out really strong with three sacks.

Now the game has gone down hill since.

Illini look like a completely different team. Bret wasted no time putting his stamp on this offense.
I think it's more that Nebraska sucks than Illinois is completely different. Illini rushed for over 250 yards on Nebraska last year and Peters was decent at times. But hey, I guess time will tell...

I believe Sitkowski was the starting QB ahead of Annexstad and IMG Academy. I know they both went there, but I may have my years mixed up.
Correct.

He was, then Annexstad passed him up in the 2nd half of the season. (I think mainly because Sitkowski wasn't delivering).

Correct. I think they actually split time towards the end, though...if I'm not mistaken, Annexstad actually started a playoff game.

Wow corn team is horrible. SF just doesnt have it to be HC in B1G. The university president must feel like he made a right decision to hire the insider guy as new AD. Now they can fire SF with good internal support.

I just turned the game on. First thing I saw was a shot of Bret Bielema...yikes. If it gets bad enough with that sun and heat I hope someone there is smart enough to know that you don't quell a grease fire with water...you should use baking soda, or place a lid over him.

You’re correct I believe.

didnt the Nebby paper say Martinez was the 2nd or 3rd best WB in the Big 10 and one ahead of Tanner? Wonder what they think now?

lol. I remember that.

And Martinez rushes for a 75 yard touchdown. Not so bad if he doesn't have to throw.

Are you kidding me? They just brought the blitz.

Lay back and let this severely inaccurate qb throw it. He can't throw.

Frost was pretty steadfast at media day that his teams don't need to rely on slogans.

Might want to give slogans a try.
This ain't working.

Please Neb make it close. So people have enough false hope that Frosty the No-man is a legit coach. Please don't fire him. That could be a Gameday sign. "Please don't fire Frost".

Nebby strategy: on crossing routes, use the Umpire as a pick to scrape off the LB in coverage. Two umpires down already.

No umpire in the game now, so Nebby had to use one of its own players (WR Martin) to set an illegal pick, nullifying a long pass.

even money that he's the coach when they play Minnesota
Downtrodden Nebraska coaches usually get fired after they lose to the Gophers.

Bo Pellini lost to the Gophers 28-24 on November 22, 2014. He was fired on November 30.

Mike Riley lost to the Gophers 54-21 on November 11, 2017. He was fired on November 22.

Scott Frost is hoping that he wins six games before Nebraska plays the Gophers.

HAHAHAHA. Now he fumbles for an Ill TD.

This is the funniest thing I've seen in years.
I saw that play at a brewpub and laughed out loud. A guy near us got up and moved as far away as possible. He had red on so I can only assume he isn't having a good day.
