Than Tum Tum would be boomer sooner bound we were late to the party with all our recruits in 2014.

I can understand being nervous about it, but zero confidence? Not sure I understand your thought process. He very well may end up at MSU, but quickly agreeing to give Tom Izzo an official visit when he has 2 to spare anyways and an open weekend doesn't automatically mean he's going there. Just means he's giving them a chance.
 

I heard that outside of Ann Arbor there isn't much worth seeing in Mich.
 

Everyone, from here on out, only post good news. Even if trivial.

He favorited a tweet of mine that basically said don't just be a back up plan for MSU. I'm sure he favorites many of the tweets he receives but still - I'm glad he has been able to think about that.
 

Not that these guys are not worthy players for Tommy Boy & Izzo, but I feel they are showing Richard he's playing with the big boys now as part of the reason they have gone after almost every recruit on that puts us in their top 'x' list.

I don't know this for a fact, but I am going to guess they have better things to do than dick with Rich.

You're probably right, coaches in the B1G want other teams to get elite players to increase the competition in the league.

All I've seen from his visit is a tweet that said he liked it:

Other than than, he still has a visit to Indiana on the 20th I believe. Before MSU got involved he was planning on committing shortly after the IU visit, not sure if that's still the case. Might want to wait to develop more of a relationship with Izzo and whoever else is recruiting him there. I'd bet there will be an article or two out sometime today or tomorrow with more concrete info.
 


My sense is Tum is highly honorable and earnest. MSU called and he listened. Now he'll play out IU. My hope is after listening to all the offers he decides that running the show in Gopher Country offers a chance to be a pioneer, leader, trend setter, as,if he builds the foundation, others will join!
 

STrib: It's close to decision time with 'Tum Tum' Nairn

Kyle Lindsted, his high school coach at Sunrise Christian Academy, said that he anticipates an announcement “within the next week or so.”

Regarding Minnesota, Lindsted said: “He just likes that they’ve recruited him so hard – they’ve been faithful, they’ve been loyal, they just work very, very hard to get him there. Those guys have kind of told him he’s their No. 1 guy and they’ve treated him that way from Day 1, and I think he thinks that that’s a good town, that’s a good place to be. He knows those guys have put him as a high priority and he appreciates that, I think.

Michigan State will be in Kansas today to see Nairn, Lindsted said, and Minnesota is expected to be in town on Wednesday.

I think it's more of the fact that MSU and Indiana are striking out on top recruits and/or having recruits decommit. So, they are looking for 3rd, 4th, and 5th options now that it is getting pretty late in the game.
