Gophers at New Mexico State - TV Broadcast Situation

I get FSN up here in cheap assed frikking Cable One. If FSN+ is a link from FSN, I will be happier than a pig eating slop.

Check your cable guide Doc. On mine it is listed as RSEGD......Regional sports extra games. It's mostly off air so don't panic.

I will do that, station. thanks for the tip.

There's always the tried and true 'check with your cable provider'.

Those dumb asses at Cable One answer my questions this way: "Yes you can get the Big Ten Network for an additional $10 a month plus the charge for the adapter you need."

Ah Ha. So you can get BTN. You just are too cheap to pay for it.

$10 per month equals 2.50 per game for FB and 1.25 per game for BB. You can't get by that cheap by going to a bar to watch it.

Shall we start a fund raiser?

Both FSArizona+ and FSNorth+ are listing the Minnesota-New Mexico St. telecast on 9/7.

Woo Hoo!!! Suck it Sid!

Great news!!! A couple of the Twins games showed up on FSN+ this season, which is this first time I have used it. I was worried that this game was going to be difficult to find.

FSN+ was used quite often for the winter sports. If the Wolves, Wild and/or Gopher Hockey played at the same time, often one of the games would be on FSN+. It won't be quite as often as Gopher Hockey will primarily be on the BTN now but it'll still be used.

Being an out-of-stater, FSN+ doesn't help me much. I have directv and Altitude is part of the package I have so I was hoping the rumors of the game being on Altitude were true. However, looking at Altitude's broadcast schedule online it looks like it will not carry the game. Hopefully ESPN3 is an option.

Remember, FSN+ has a habit of being on different Alt channels on Dish. You might have to go to the FSN website to find the channel for the game.

Looks like Cable One has FSN+ listed as Channel 14 - Event Only

I'm pretty sure that FSN+ is an event only channel as of now. I think I heard somewhere that it was going to become a full time network sometime here though.

FWIW: I am on a municipal cable system. At this time (12:25pm Thurs), FSN's main channel is showing a replay of last night's Twins Game, and FSN+ is showing some extreme sports show - so they do have separate programming.

so, if the Gophs are on FSN+, at least I'll be able to DVR the game. (I'll be at a HS FB game that afternoon in the fine city of New Ulm, and I may not make it home in time for kickoff.)

not exactly nationally televised but I'm just happy to be able to see it......in hd hopefully!

It is also possible that here in Moorhead, because Cable One has dropped ESPNCL, keeping ESPN and ESPN2, maybe opening that channel up for the debut of FSN+ to take its place on the 17th.

Fox Sports 1..........which debuts on 8-17

and

FSN+..... are two different things.

FWIW, there's a decent chance plus might be hiding in one of the Alternate Sports channels. I'm in Madison, WI and that's where I find it when Gopher Hockey ends up there. I'm AT&T Uverse, but I've found that if anything DTV seems to carry more than ATT when it comes to those random sports alternates.

So wait, is FSN+ the type of thing that you can only get locally in Minnesota or the Southwest?

We're trying to get our schedule all set up with the Chicago Gopher bar and this isn't sounding particularly helpful.

It's an overflow channel for FSN. If they get FSN they should get it. They should be able to figure it out ahead of time.

Just get DirecTV then you will not always have these concerns. Since dumping Comcast for DirecTV I always get everything...oh and my bill is $80 cheaper.

I don't have any concerns.
