Gophers at New Mexico State - TV Broadcast Situation

I kind of doubt the game will actually be available on some of the alternate channels that have been listed as well so am planning to have the BTN2GO option ready as a backup. Just because the guide shows it doesn't mean it will actually be available. Has anyone actually confirmed that Dish and Directv will not be blacking out the game locally?

I'm sure they won't. They do that for pro games, but not college football. The only blackouts I get on DirecTv is when ABC and ESPN show the same game (KSTP shows the regional game) and then its blacked out on the ESPN channel that has that feed. I have BTN2GO as a backup too, but it will be on the alternative channels. The issue may be that even if it is on an HD channel, the feed from NMSU's Aggie Vision may be Standard Def...

According to this guy on Twitter AggieVision recently upgraded to HD. Hopefully that's the case.

Upgrading vs upgraded. Hmmmm. I'm not sayin I'm just sayin.

I know this probably doesn't help you guys in Minnesota but down here in Arizona I get channel 682. I have a sports package but that's so I can get Big Ten Network down here. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but it might. Now it says that the game is on channel 682

Check 695-1. 682 is NOT HD, but 695-1 is. Someone else pointed this out, but I'm not going swimming back through pages to find it.

When I checked, there was nothing playing, but when I set it to record, it is good to go. So I'm assuming it will be broadcast in HD on that channel.

Ok, so who makes up this 13-14 million? The whole state of NM is only 2 million.

Also, I find it hard to believe that the U can't negotiate the local TV rights for these away games in the contracts.

DishNetwork 443 is all I needed to know!

Option 2 BTNtoGo HDMI cable to TV

Option 3 2 mile walk to BWW on Snelling or Billy's on Grand!

Altitude is based in Denver and they show AggieVision events. FS Arizona is obviously based out of Arizona, and they also show it. Those 3 states make up 13 million.

Same here.

Even the money grabbing NFL allows local over the air stations to carry national espn and nfl network games.

The U already looks stupid because they paid $800,000 to 'play this game'. They should somehow get this game on accessible TV.

Paying $800,000 to not play UNC doesn't mean as much to me as waiting to do so at the last minute, therefore leaving the Gophers little to no choice in playing at NMSU and winding up in a 1999 level TV situation. This will be the only 2013 game, conference or non, featuring a Big Ten team not to be seen in HD on a mass distributed TV channel. I find that inexcusably poor planning by Teague, Kill, and the AD staff. The manner in which the U of M has made no effort to acknowledge the connection between dumping the UNC series and this mess is also maddening.

A friend with Direct TV also says 682 is a go. I have comcast with BTN2Go and apple TV
