LOLDrake played 7 guys. 3 guys went the full 45 MIN (including OT)
See if they can keep it up all year.
Quick, look up. See that? Going right over your head?
That's "the point."

I see you are sticking with this pretending it is all over the place Dan Barreiro style huh.It just sucks that we're the only school having to deal with NIL and the portal because now we'll never know if Ben Johnson was a good hire.
The B1G Network is airing a show this Saturday at 1pm that explores futility from different angles in "Shoot the Basketball Charlie Brown".Embrace the Suck.
Maybe FDU will win and put us out of our misery. It's hard not to root for it at this point. The B1G Network is airing a show this Saturday at 1pm that explores futility from different angles in "Shoot the Basketball Charlie Brown".
I feel like this is where I'm at. It's exhausting to care when the U doesn't seem to. Every league needs a doormat, and we're it. There's something to be said for being able to go to the arena or tune in on the TV and there not being any stress associated with consequential games. If this situation is long-term financially sustainable for the U, I'm okay with it.Embrace the Suck.
Bad years?No bad days.
We’ll probably win but likely a close game againMaybe FDU will win and put us out of our misery. It's hard not to root for it at this point.
Nebraska beat them by 26. They are not good. We’ll probably win but likely a close game again
By how much will Nebraska beat us? That is the question.Nebraska beat them by 26. They are not good.
We don't play them until March, I'm sure Ben will have things running smoothly by then.By how much will Nebraska beat us? That is the question.
If our administration cared...they would have kept Payne & Hawkins. And gotten a replacement for Christie. It's officially time. What will be done eventually should be done immediately. The chances of making the NCAA's this year is officially zero. Let the remaining fans know you care and are paying attention. Give the players something to re-group around. And most importantly get a jump on the search for a new coach.
Again you need to have NIL explained to you in the present environment. The administration can’t buy players you loon. The school can’t be involved. Your stick keeps aging ungracefully. Next year we can have a chat but at the moment it’s not possible. If our administration cared...they would have kept Payne & Hawkins. And gotten a replacement for Christie.
A LOT of things haven't been possible at Minnesota in the last 27 years.Again you need to have NIL explained to you in the present environment. The administration can’t buy players you loon. That he'll lose all his remaining games. In Ben we trust
Ben was on KFAN radio with Grimm today...he talked about how superstitious he is...making the people set the tables up in a certain pattern because they won when they were set up that way.
Can't stay at certain hotels because they lost last time. ALL kinds of things.
Table setup is vastly underestimated in the ability to influence a team's ability to win (or lose). Ignore at your own peril!Ben was on KFAN radio with Grimm today...he talked about how superstitious he is...making the people set the tables up in a certain pattern because they won when they were set up that way.

Points of emphasis last game he really hammered home that he wanted the guys to focus on...
No live ball turnovers that lead to opponents points. No opponents second chance points. Shoot shots your teammates expect you to shoot versus trying to do something you can't...stay in our offense. He thought they were better at it...proud of his coaching. I couldn't help but wonder what he'd emphasize if he was coaching a college team versus the 7th graders at DeLaSalle. All fine points of emphasis but we should be well past that at this point in the season and at this level.
Prolly already ran out of hotels to pick from at a couple smaller B1G cities.Ben was on KFAN radio with Grimm today...he talked about how superstitious ...

If he were really successful, we'd pass it off as an entertaining quirk. Where the program is at now, it comes across like he is seriously short-circuiting. I've seen compost with better self-awareness.Good lord he makes himself sound like a bigger loser with every interview.

Beat me on this comment. He may be running out of restaurants and dining tables at this point as well.Prolly already ran out of hotels to pick from at a couple smaller B1G cities.
This is just desperation from Ben. I’d rather take good coaching instead.Ben was on KFAN radio with Grimm today...he talked about how superstitious he is...making the people set the tables up in a certain pattern because they won when they were set up that way.
