All Things Dredrick Snelson Thread

Jeff Jones is a redshirt freshman with concussion issues

Unless someone else steps up. Snelson take KJ Maye's spot from day #1.

I'll believe it when I see it. Jamel Harbison, Andre McDonald, Isiah Gentry, Jeff Jones, et al all indicate to me that it's more unlikely than it is likely. He'll also have a quality Sr in Eric Carter ahead of him.

carter will only be a Jr next year Wolotarsky will be the only Senior.
Next year will have Wolo, Carter. Gant, Gentry, Holland, and Still will be Sophomores, as will Jones for all intensive purposes. Coming into the program will be Snelson, Hemelinski, and Howard. I can see why JD Spielman went to Nebraska, eight of these guys could still be here in three years. Lot of young talent, it'll be fun to watch to see who emerges.

I'm just hoping Snelson sticks with the commitment at this point. Judging from his tweet after the Northwestern game and the trajectory this team is heading this year, I'm not liking the odds he sticks.

I'm with you. I got very nervous when I saw this thread had resurfaced.

If you think the names on that list had anything to do with Spielman opting for Nebraska over us you are kidding yourself. There is nobody on that list that would scare him away from a competition standpoint if he really wanted to play here.

Well considering he wasn't much of a priority after Snelson verbally committed I think that says all you need to know where Spielman stood in the coaching staffs eyes. if you think otherwise I guess your only kidding yourself ;)

With expectations so low about our game versus Michigan, I just really hope we don't lay an egg due to all the recruits attending. Hopefully it will be as exciting as the Halloween game a few years ago against Michigan State.

Burns stated on more than one occasion that it was Spielman who cut off communication, not the coaching staff.

Aquinas is wicked good. Joey Bosa's brother Nick is on that team and he looks more athletic than his older brother also.

Aquinas has always been good, they're to Florida football what Hill Murry is to Minnesota hockey.

Edina is probably a better analogy than Hill Murray. Hill Murray hasn't really won that many championships.

Edina's public though, that what I was gonna go with at first. Hill is the OG of hated private schools for hockey. They use to dominate private school tourney and have been a force with the big schools since private schools were let in during the 70's.

Ah, I don't pay attention to high schools in Florida enough to get the private school connection. Thanks.

I prefer to think of HM as the small school among giants, the little engine that could, aka Hickory...
