Skol Vikes!!
Florio is a complete moron, but I would agree with this. The Tampa VP of Personnel is interesting. That organization has done a good job of loading that rosterPA had Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk on his show.
PA suggested that the Vikes had some "strong internal candidates" for GM and HC.
Florio - as politely as possible - told PA there was no chance of that happening.

Actually I think they've done pretty well drafting, wasn't even really thinking about the strictly Brady-era. Brady picked Tampa in large part because of the roster. Sure a few have followed him there but they've hit some home runs in drafting; Wirfs, Vita Vea, Winfield Jr, and a handful of others. But it's a bit easier when half the players are friends of Tom Brady.
Are you bringing Tom Brady here as part of the deal?
Barreiro was pushing Patterson. All of them have been commenting on how wonderful Leber was after the game and the possibility of him taking over for Coleman. Regular old boys club at da fan.
This. They wouldn't have won the SB last year without Brady (or another elite QB), but almost nobody can win the SB without an elite QB the way the NFL is structured. But even if you ignore Brady and Gronk, that team has done a really good job of acquiring talent. And other than the sliver of success they had with Dungy/Gruden, that organization has been an absolute black hole for decades. Look at the Lions- bringing and retaining talent to a downtrodden organization isn't necessarily easy. I would have no qualms with poaching front office talent from that organization.Actually I think they've done pretty well drafting, wasn't even really thinking about the strictly Brady-era. If the local media had it's way, Marc Trestman would be in year 10 of coaching both the Vikings and the Gophers.Barreiro was pushing Patterson. What's the deal with KFAN pimping Leber's career lately?
A few days ago they were talking about him taking Greg's role. Today they were pushing him for a Vikings front office position.
This week on KFAN has been "Been Leber Career Chat" week.
It’s is in overdrive, obvious and offensive. That Gabe guy who is on with PA is twice as good as leber. What's the deal with KFAN pimping Leber's career lately?

Minnesota native, played football at MN-Morris.
This makes sense, but at the same time, one podcast I was listening to today basically said, what's the rush? I'm inclined to agree I guess? I forget most of the argument but it seemed like a reasonable argument. Not everyone will be a fit everywhere, I'm not worried about the Vikings losing out on potential candidates for quite a while yetWe waited a week already to start interviewing? I realize there isn't a recruiting class we need to save like in college, but we'll certainly lose on coaching candidates at this pace.

Agreed. There is no rush. A good coach can be found. Rushing the decision is how you screw up.This makes sense, but at the same time, one podcast I was listening to today basically said, what's the rush? I'm inclined to agree I guess? I think a listened to the same podcast, or one that made a similar point. The basic argument, as I recall, is that when a coach is hired during the process does not affect results. So a coach hired within the first couple of weeks would have about the same chance of success statistically as one hired a month or two later. Thus, hiring your coach as fast as you can does not guarantee it will be a good hire and gives you no advantage over other teams who might take their time with the decision. This makes sense, but at the same time, one podcast I was listening to today basically said, what's the rush? That's fair. There is no rush like college and certainly better to make the right hires than the quick hires, but I sure hope we get theguyperson we want, not the bestguyperson left.

It sounds like the Vikings requested to talk to Kellen Moore, Todd Bowles, Leslie Frazier, and Jonathon Gannon.
Frazier and Bowles meet the Rooney rule requirements. Frazier is a token interview, right? No way they bring him back.
Any other people confirmed?
Really bad if true though. Unbelievable.Deion Sanders said Zimmer and Spielman haven't talked for months. Not surprising.
Rookie 'vendetta' against Mond, Davis, Surratt and Jones? That just sounds ridiculous. Those guys are all 3rd round and beyond guys, and it was always known that all but Davis would be projects, and Davis was hurt for like at least the first half of the year, no?Really bad if true though. Unbelievable.
