I'm guessing there will be less slime in preparation for the Lions.Safe to say the culture has changed a bit?

Or was there not enough slime?I'm guessing there will be less slime in preparation for the Lions.
Any is too much, IMO.Or was there not enough slime?
The Vikings have lost to worse Lions teams. We will beat Detroit, right?
The defense will take a while to recover after the state that Spielman/Zimmer put it in. Zim was all about "his" guys, hanging onto vets too long, and now they're old, slow, and overpaid. Whatever skill Spielman had at drafting really dried up in the past number of years, so there is little good, young talent. Hopefully the Cine kid is legit, although with Harry's contract, we're stuck with him for another few years. Thanks for that one, Spielman.defense was so slow.
defense was so slow.
I was watching on delay via DVR and speeding in between plays. I didn't realize the Vikings called Time Out after the Eagles ran a play toward the end of the 1st half.they wanted to run the clock out from the 4 yard line. We wouldn't allow it.
LMAO
OK, but … Eagles didn’t do much in the 2nd half.
If our offense isn’t abysmal, it’s a game.
All the same:The Eagles were still picking up chunk yards in the second half. They went 52 yards and had a FG blocked with their first drive. Another 32 yards on their second drive. It was the fourth before they got the ball back. Had they been more aggressive....they certainly could have scored more points. But it was increasingly obvious that the Vikings weren't going to score and catch up.
All the same:
- Irv catches it and scores a TD
- Boyd doesn't get run down by the holder, scores a TD
- Hicks finds a way into the endzone himself, scores a TD
28-24
Now, before you start screaming, yes, I know that's not really true. Any one of those could've and probably would've prompted the Eagles offense to "start trying harder" again. I don't necessarily agree that they weren't trying at all in the 2nd half. We did a much, much better job. But you never know how it would've really worked out had we scored.
I said the same thing to my wife when we were at the Vikings/Packers game. How is #84 not retired? That's insane. I like Irv Smith Jr, other than that drop, but he should not be #84.
Skol Randy Moss!!
They don't retire numbers anymore. I believe most teams don't.I said the same thing to my wife when we were at the Vikings/Packers game. How is #84 not retired? That's insane. I like Irv Smith Jr, other than that drop, but he should not be #84.
Huh, didn't know that. thanks for the info! They don't retire numbers anymore. I believe most teams don't.
It’s too early to conclude that IMO but right now this is a bad team all around. Bad execution and bad coaching. This board thought I was crazy when I said the Vikings would be 7-10.
I was wrong. They'll be 5-12. Maybe worse.
Going well so far today.
What could possibly go wrong.
They are making it so easy for QBs to get in rhythm and gain confidence. The game plan on defense has been piss poor for two weeks in a row.

I thought coaching decisions were brutal for both teams.Campbell should have gone for the 1st down instead of kicking the 54 yard field goal. The Vikings were saved be bad decision-making.
Still, let's take the win and hope this defense finds a way to improve.
