Poll: Where is Marcus Carr most likely to play in 2021-2022?

Honestly I think Gophs could be a better *team* built on Mashburn, Robbins, Gabe, Gach, Ihnen, Williams and maybe Mitchell next year.

    This CF season is pointless

Agree. Hard to take the appearance of sports seriously when the government is telling us that there's an existential threat surrounding us. "let's give them just enough of their precious little sport to keep them pacified."

    I still support Pitino.

We keep hearing "oh Carr and Oturu are so talented" every single game, yet same result. At some point you have to conclude that common denominator is the X's and O's. Meanwhile, Wisconsin is in the hunt for a B1G title with... Brad Davison...

Field of 68: Gophers Drop Out of Consideration (for now)

Those Ohio State and Michigan wins are looking better and better... 16 wins + 2 wins in the B1G might get the Gophers in.

List of lessons should have been learned by Pitino (why it’s difficult for team to hire head coaches without experience)

Richard's mid-to-lower level recruits (aside from the obvious high-end guys like an Oturu or Carr) are aaaaaaalllllllllllllways painfully one-dimensional (Omersa, Konate) or zero-dimensional (Hurt, Diedhiou). To develop an NCAA-threat team and a decent bench you need a steady stream of...

Creating and sustaining energy at the Barn

The marketing and advancement department is clearly way out of sync with the vision of the Coyle regime. Clean house and get new staff in there.

    Predictions for last 7 games...

    5-2 finish that'll be consistent with the hot and cold trend this year. W - Iowa W - Indiana W - @Northwestern L - Maryland L @Wisconsin W - @Indiana W - Nebraska Lack of quality wins will leave them needing 1 win in B1G to seal NCAA berth.

To Feel Safe & Comfy Heading To Big Ten Tournament

Ok so 6-1 the rest of the way makes them a lock and 5-2 puts them on the bubble, right?

Sure, the home crowd is fine, but why not demand more?

"home court advantage" implies getting behind the team and making it difficult for the opponent no matter what the score. "It gets really loud when Minnesota is playing well or goes on a run" is not a home court advantage. "Give us something to cheer about!" misses the whole point.

Sure, the home crowd is fine, but why not demand more?

My guess is that things are slow to change and adapt because of "we've always done it this way" syndrome. Joe bagadonuts in the athletic department has been there for 25 years and his job is safe so long as the bottom doesn't fall out. "Good enough" is all that's required. It is basically a...

And now Iowa showing how it's done.

Wisconsin somehow able to show how it's done today. SHOCKER! We can do better.

Gard says Davison's feelings are hurt.

I say let's start making Williams Arena louder than a library before we start making fun of other teams.

Sure, the home crowd is fine, but why not demand more?

But my main point is that it was a morgue for the first 10 minutes when it was a very tight game. Sure, we weren't scoring, but we were stopping them as well.

Sure, the home crowd is fine, but why not demand more?

What's the verdict? Is it the team's job to get the crowd in the game, or is it the crowd's job to be in the game from the start? I wager that it's the latter - especially if the team is having a reasonable amount of success on the year. If a crowd is in the game from the start, then it has an...

Jon Crispin said Gophers could have advanced to the Elite Eight a year ago with Carr

My favorite is when a guy gets highly contested bucket or rebound: "Keep that in mind. That could be the difference maker if this game is decided by 1 or 2 points." ... that's pretty much true for all the plays in a tight game...

***UNOFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT MICHIGAN STATE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

That was your toughest game of the year so at least you can take solace in the fact that it won't get any tougher than that this year. Nice to at least not get blown out by halftime, but it's about time for a Gopher basketball team to win there. Disappointing to lose the two tough road games...

Illinois steal it from Wisconsin late in Madison with some cold-blooded threes in the last 3 minutes. Seems like a little karma for the one Wisconsin stole at the end from OSU. Northwestern took Indiana to the brink in Bloomington. Yikes. This conference is a bloodbath.
