I was really high on Craig Smith when the U hired Ben but I hope he isn't considered this time. I watched Utah look totally outclassed vs Baylor. I realize it's only 1 game but his conference winning percentage is around 37% in the Pac 12. I really hope Coyle aims higher this time around.

From the info I can find, Otzelberger makes 2.5 mil and McDermott 2.3. Ben making 2 mil is highway robbery.

I normally don't believe it serves a purpose to fire a college coach mid season but I can easily see this team being 0-10 in the Big Ten by the end of January. If that's the case I think it's best for all parties not to let Ben to finish out the season.

I think he has big time defensive potential but I don’t believe he has the mindset for it.

In my opinion Izzo goes too deep into his bench. Ruins their offensive flow at times.

I think the defensive effort is the key. If the coaches can get them to buy in on that end for 40 minutes this team could be really good.

Gophs actually have some talented pieces this year but man the point guard play is going to kill them.
