Ever wonder where the program would have been if the Gophers beat Iowa in 2019? Win that, go to a major bowl game, recruiting gets to elite player level. Seems like it would have been a tipping point to being a top program. Instead, had a nice final bowl game, stumbled in Covid year and now...

If the goal is to shorten games, then they need less commercial time. I don’t like shortening the actual game.

If it can be done, the margin for error is non-existent. Need to hold a 14 pt lead in 2014. Can’t drop the ball at Iowa in 2019. Can’t have the ball bounce off hands in the end zone at Purdue in 2022. Can’t have the guy who never fumbles fumble against Iowa.

Like the results of that 12 man defense. Almost pulled that off. PJ’s teams don’t try the cheating route much. Gophers seemed to have a problem tackling, they would lay a shoulder but not wrap up. Maybe that was the field condition.

Probably wouldn’t expect the final score if you saw Syracuse with 477 yards to Gophers 217 and 8 more minutes of possession. Checked all the boxes though with win, Mo with records, Morgan getting a nice final effort, see new stars like Bryson.

Does it make sense that Thompson does not get credit for 136 yards in the 1986 Liberty Bowl but Mo gets credit for his multiple bowl games? Might be nice if Mo got 195 yards so we don’t need an asterisk. Glad I got to watch both of them.
