Six national titles are ancient history. I'm all for being positive, but even Gopher Football Forum would be better. We need to look forward, not back to the good old days.

I get a sense that calling out the team a couple of weeks ago has backfired. Calling out players in a press conference doesn't seem like the best way to get players to play for you. Locker room yet, press conference no. Other thoughts?

The way the coaching search is proceeding is exactly the same as their other searches. Names are not made public, Maturi will do the interviews, and the coach named may well be someone NO ONE has brought up. I've seen them work a number of times,and they do a terrific job keeping the lid on...

Just heard another name being looked at, former Gopher DC Ted Roof. He first head coaching experience was not great, but he can build a defense. Much like current Auburn head coach Gene Chizik who flopped at Iowa State, he could be a guy who would flourish in his second stint at a head coach...
