Cars are complete sunk cost, and should be driven into the ground until they become unreliable for their primary use. Whether you can buy whatever you want, or are always in the used car market, paying a pile of money for a status symbol with no return makes no sense. I drive a 2007 Chevy, and hope for another five years, but no guarantees. Cheers to the wealthy (and anyone else) who don't waste their money on what they don't need and won't get any return on.
Vehicles IMO are one of the biggest things that keep poor people poor. It's none of my business, but I can't believe how many lower-middle class people drive $50k+ vehicles.

The details from his latest extension are somewhat difficult to find. I think his base was 5.1 million this year, but he has a number of retention bonuses and incentives that push him well over 6 million per year.

The worrisome figure from Purdue’s end is Brohm’s measly $1M buyout if he leaves for another job. He turned down his alma mater, Louisville, in 2018; he may find it difficult to do that twice. Still, Purdue has a coveted coach on a reasonable contract. Even if it required some concessions, that’s a big win for them.
