Wisconsin has to be the luckiest team on the planet.

Bo finishes top 4 every single year. Tubby hasn't (and won't) ever finish over even .500. This is Tubby's most talented team and one of Bo's least. Light years doesn't even begin to describe the gap between these two programs. And since Tubby has limped into the tourney once again for another first round loss, it won't be changing anytime soon.

One recruiting class can turn a program around. Your statement about " light years" is extremely over the top.

You troll Wisconsin boards? I just figured this out with a simple google search, it all makes sense now.

They play 1940's basketball. Clutch, grab, and flop. The majority of the time they let the clock run down under 10 seconds. It is almost like Iowa's HS girls basketball. Between Wisconsin and Northwestern the only thing that is missing is the "Peach Basket " If I was the Big Ten Commish.
I would tell them to either change their game, or move to the Ivy League. I would rather take a sharp poke in the eye with a stick then watch either of these dinosaurs play.

And yet we always finish above MN. If we should be sent to the Ivy that must make the goofs NAIA material

First post is a troll comment. Go play in the traffic. It's a new game called Dodge Car.

I do think it is slightly bizarre that UW had an "easier" schedule this year than what they should've had. If you look at the 1-plays, it is very strange that UW had Penn State twice AGAIN when they had been due for having only one game with PSU (it has been several years since they only played once - 2005 in fact, while OSU has had one-plays with doormat PSU four times in the past six years now). However, in order to give UW that extra game with PSU that they shouldn't have gotten, the Big Ten gave UW one less game with the Wolverines, when they had had a 1-play with UM ('07) more recently than OSU ('05). Amazing how UW comes up with that favorable schedule to avoid two additional games with the top-5 teams each of the past-2 years when they needed it badly to continue their top-4 finish. MSU and OSU finished ahead of UW and didn't miss any of the top teams on their schedules ... if Bo gets COY based on that gift of a schedule, I'll eat my hat.

Wisconsin athletics - where karma never comes back to haunt you.

So was it lucky that the Badgers lost their starting PG at the beginning of the season? Look what happened to you guys when you lost your PG a few years ago? Or when Kaminsky was poked in the eye in the middle of the season and had to sit out 4-5 games? Or when Bruiser had first the bad gash on his leg at the beginning of the season and then the concussion during the season? Frankly, he has not been himself after that concussion.

Minnesota athletics always striving to be like the neighbor to the East, but always falling short even with that awesome bball team you goofs were supposed to have this year.

oh poor poor Badgers. Pity party, anyone? With your horrible luck, your team fell to the bottom of the B1G while losing all of their close games. It is pretty sad, I admit. Oh wait, this didn't happen! STFU, go gloat on your own board, and leave us in our own misery, you elitist prick.

Injuries happen to everyone.

Why is it such a big deal for someone to admit their favorite team has had some fortunate things go their way? I don't think anyone is saying their success overall this year has been lucky.

Gotta give Bo Ryan credit for constantly overachieving with that ragtag bunch in Wisconsin, but I feel bad for their fans. Watching that style of play year after year would kill my love of basketball. Amazing that the stupid national media still thinks of the Big Ten as a "slow, physical" league just because we have 2 teams (NW and WI) that play that style.

Sooner or later when CBB adopts the NBA's 24 sec shot clock we won't have to worry about this ugliness any more.

Why are the badger trolls coming out in full force today?

+2 The three is the reason they score any points. To the grinch's credit he recruits bigs who can shot. Something foreign to Tubby. The Ryan style is painful to watch but I suppose if your liquored up enough .

Something on the order of whatever caused the recently deceased to come out of their graves in Night of the Living Dead.

Listen, we should all be happy to trade what we have for the "Ryan" style. The guy has the highest winning percentage in the history of Big Ten basketball. Give me that any day to a bunch of guys running up and down frantically and unable to run a half court offense. And they probably average 2 points per game less than Tubby's up-tempo offense. True that he hasn't made a final four, but the guy has taken them to the sweet sixteen what seems like almost every year recently. We need someone like that...hate to say it, but Wisconsin is what we need to emulate.

Would rather emulate Michigan State. I would gladly trade a couple of Bo's regular season wins for a plethora of Final Fours and a national title. I also don't like how Bo throws fits of rage at officials, and how doesn't allow his players to transfer to the ACC. :) I hope he never coaches here, and I doubt he would even if we expressed interest.

I think this year's Wisconsin team is like the 2009-10 Minnesota team, but a lot luckier. We had Royce White and Trevor Mbakwe sitting on the bench for the entirety of that season, and they had Uthoff transfer and then Gasser out for the season, so I would argue that their losses this year were not as significant as ours that year. We lost two conference games by a point that year, and two more in overtime, whereas Wisconsin has won something like four conference games on crappy last second shots that went in. A handful of possessions go differently, and the 2009-10 Gophers and 2012-13 Badgers could have won or lost four more conference games respectively.

That is a pretty depressing outlook. If we get four games to go a different way, then our best season under Tubby would have been better than the Grinch's worst during that stretch.

You "doubt" he would be interested? Guess we'll just make him plan B after Smart, Stevens, etc.

As it stands, our best season under Tubby is one game worse than Ryan's worst season, conference record-wise.

Nope, haven't been on a Badger site for a long time. I finally realized how really stupid it was to battle with an inferior competitor. I take all my shots at " Rebecca " over here.

Yea must be boring to just visit and read a site you are banned from Ruppy! Reason being why you "haven't" been to a Badger site in a long time. :pig:

I haven't been banned. Go back and see for yourself. As I said, it was stupid on my part to butt heads
with "Butt Heads"

Glad I don't have to worry about that. That style would make me become of fan of another team. Maybe Iowa State, I would love to have Hoiberg up here. His teams actually play basketball not floor hockey.Matt Thomas is lucky he got out of Wisconsin.

By the way there are about twenty teams out there to emulate rather than grinch ball.

How many points did high-flying Syracuse score this weekend? UNC?? When the shots are falling UW is as fun to watch as anyone. When they are not they look bad--just like UNC and Cuse did.

No.

I'd rather watch UNC try and fast break off of made baskets than Wisconsin. Just my preference.

You going with a baseball hat, a fedora or possibly a sombrero?

Badgers were 2-0 against Michigan and Indiana. Have not lost to Indiana since the House Creaner has been there. Schedule had nothing to do with the award.

Maybe the 22 point thrashing of O$U was the difference in the balloting.

Do we really care? Watching Becky play is like watching two old women knit. Tell your Beckyville pals I really appreciate that they started a personnel thread on me to try and bait me to respond.
It just shows how easy it is to get in their wheelhouse and watch them get their shorts in a bundle.
As I said, I quit posting over there a year ago realizing the stupidity of it. I do find it fun once in a while to " Rope a dope " you Shallow Hal's over here though. Cheers!

Keep it coming Roopie! Please! LOL:clap:

I thought maybe you still lurked around Buckyville... good to know!

Good luck to our little brothers across the river in the tourneys this year. Hopefully we meet deep in both!

I don't know how lucky Wisconsin is. Their fans are afflicted with a condition that only enables them to post over here after a win. I assume they are struck blind and their fingers are crippled when Wisconsin loses. That's the only logical explanation for why they don't post here after a loss.
