Wisconsin has to be the luckiest team on the planet.

I don't know how lucky Wisconsin is. Their fans are afflicted with a condition that only enables them to post over here after a win. I assume they are struck blind and their fingers are crippled when Wisconsin loses. That's the only logical explanation for why they don't post here after a loss.

When you win 73% of the time it can just seem that way.

Fact is this is a MN message board so I will try and keep this gopher related (even if I have not completely done so in the past). MN is probably a lock at this point but a couple wins in the B10 tourney will help the seed #, I believe MN handles Illinois and loses in the second round and gets a 10 seed. MN is a dangerous 10 seed or wherever they end up at!

Keep it coming Roopie! Please! LOL:clap:

I thought maybe you still lurked around Buckyville... good to know!

Good luck to our little brothers across the river in the tourneys this year. Hopefully we meet deep in both!

The only time I " lurk" over there is after a Badger related post because your boys over there have such rabbit ears, so I know I'm going to get a Ruppert thread. It is unbelievable how gullible Becky fans are. What takes the cake is you can't just vent on your own site, you are stupid enough to come over here and spew!

You going with a baseball hat, a fedora or possibly a sombrero?

Badgers were 2-0 against Michigan and Indiana. Have not lost to Indiana since the House Creaner has been there. Schedule had nothing to do with the award.

Maybe the 22 point thrashing of O$U was the difference in the balloting.

It's a joke that Bo Ryan won COY. Bo specializes at taking advantage of the weaker teams in the league and beating up on them, and the schedule helped him do that. Surprising IU in Bloomington when they weren't thinking they'd have a tough game, a miracle home win over UM, and OSU didn't care enough to show up against you in Madison - those are your best wins on the season, and that gives you something to crow about?

In 2009, the circumstances were similar as MSU won the title outright, and Matta was able to get OSU to a #4 Big Ten finish and NCAA tourney berth in spite of coming off an NIT season and losing David Lighty to injury early in the season. They had a couple good freshmen but they also lost what were their 3 best players off that NIT team in addition to having to redshirt Lighty. Of course, no one thought Matta should win COY because he didn't deserve it more than Izzo even though Matta did a good job - I guess when you're Wisconsin and no one thinks you're any good, being halfway decent is an accomplishment.

When you haven't won the Big Ten in several years or advanced past the S16 in nearly a decade, and when you start off the season losing at home to freaking Virginia and against Creighton and fall out of the top-25, you fall off the radar pretty quick and nobody has you circled on their calendar. It's harder when everyone wants to play you and everyone's gunning for you like teams were against IU, MSU, OSU and UM. The coaches of IU, MSU and OSU at least ALL deserved to win over Ryan. Crean has taken IU a long way from where they were a few years ago, clearly it is a major accomplishment for his team to win the league outright this year. You think it's easier to replace Gasser and Taylor or Buford and Sullinger? How about 2012 league POY Draymond Green? MSU and OSU both played much tougher Big Ten schedules and lost a lot better players, and teams actually want to play against them.

Nobody wants to play Wisconsin because they play such a boring style and it isn't that good of a win. Once the tourney rolls around and teams actually won't overlook you, you struggle and get bounced in or before the Sweet 16 every year because you don't have great talent compared to the top teams in college basketball. Hope you enjoy another year where UW finishes 4th and doesn't have a deep tourney run. At least you have Bo's winning percentage and streak of top-4 finishes to help you sleep at night. And of course Bo's recruiting is so mediocre that you practically never lose anyone early to the NBA so you can plan on being "consistent" again next year. Congrats!

10/10 would read again.

Congratulations, your post convinced to change allegiances and stop rooting for Wisconsin. I definitely think rooting for Minnesota would be much more rewarding!

Actually, he would prefer it if you cheered for Ohio State but whatever.

On second thought, OSU probably wants fans that can count the fingers on their hands.

This whole thread sucks.

I agree. I do not understand why Badger fans feel the need to make a SN and waste their time to post on a message board for a team that they hate (and vise versa for Gopher fans posting on Badger sites). I may have said a few things for the Badgers on GH but I realize now it is pointless since the majority of posters on here could care less about UW.

Perhaps you need to sit down and have a conversation with yourself. Then you may gain some understanding.

Hmmm, must have a reading comprehension problem....

(this was right after the snipit that you took out, nice try though)

No, I can comprehend just fine, thank you. You're a Badger fan posting on GH. And yet you can't understand why Badger fans would post on GH. As I stated, perhaps you should have a conversation with yourself.

I graduated from a University of Minnesota school, lived in MN for the last 7 years and been a fan after playing with multiple players in the Pulley Pro-am and Brothers Keeper leagues. I really do not have to justify myself to you...and it seems to me that you do have a problem with comprehension. Anywhooo I am still a Badger fan as well, since I have lived in WI for the majority of my life. A person cannot like two teams? No need to answer that.

You don't have to justify yourself to me, yet you keep trying to do so. In my opinion, anyone who is a fan of two heated rival squads is either an instigator, a front runner, has mental problems, or some combination of the above. As I've stated before, you don't see people calling themselves "YankeeRedSox" or "CowboyRedskin". It's stupid. It'd be like being a fan of the US and the USSR.

Not those two teams. Do you like both Republicans and Democrats? Do you like both the Vikings and the Packers? Do you like both criminals and the police?

You can't call yourself a fan of either of those teams if you claim to like both of them. It just doesn't work.

Those are pretty drastic comparisons. Anyways, I have told you my background and figured that would shed a little bit of light as to why I am a fan of both. However, you cannot wrap your head around the fact that I am a fan of both teams. I will be routing for both in the NCAA's...guess I really do not care if I get GH approval.

Again, those are DRASTIC comparisons. We are talking about two college basketball teams with a mild rivalry (I do not think it is as heated as some of you want to believe or make it out to be). I will continue to cheer for both and post on GH, regardless of your opinions...

Your still here?

Apparently, two teams who have played more games against each other than any other teams in major college football are the best of friends. Good job, good effort.

Well as a UW fan I do not see the U of Minnesota games as a huge rivalry...UW vs OSU, sure but not UW vs U of Minnesota. Also, college football is a different beast, but I would not expect somebody who has never played college athletics to understand college athletics. Good job, good effort.

Uh-oh, anonymous internet poster implies that he has played college athletics so he knows more than anyone who hasn't. Everybody give this guy the credibility and respect he deserves immediately!!

I would not expect somebody who has never played college athletics to understand college athletics.

This is completely asinine logic. If you've never worked in an automotive plant, you can't drive a car. If you've never worked in a slaughterhouse, you can't eat meat. If you haven't worked for a tailor, you can't wear clothes. Do you realize how thoroughly stupid this line of thinking is? Then again, you claim to be a fan of both teams in a heated rivalry (a fact regardless of your ill-founded opinion), so intelligence isn't exactly your strong suit. Because you played D2 (or more likely D3) ball somewhere, that makes you an expert? Give me a break.

It is easy to be the expert from the sidelines or the stands. Keep coming with these crazy comparisons...D2 btw...anways, I am done with this converation. I will still be here cheering for both teams!

So you admit you are a Badger troll and not a Gopher fan. I think we know all we need to know about you and your "expertise"

It is easy to be the expert from the sidelines or the stands.

Since you have played as many minutes in a Division I basketball game as I have, you're just as much of a "sideline expert" as I am. Durr hurr hurr.
