The U was in the driver's seat with the stadium. We should have a favorable deal, if there are any changes that are a problem for us, we ought to have been compensated. If not, we should not have made the deal in the first place.
It doesn't seem to be an unfavorable deal for the U. Unless I am incorrect the vikings are picking up the cost for all changes and upgrades and will pay to put it back the way it was. The U is out nothing in fact they get more publicity for the school when the vikings play there and they are being compensated further by charging rent. What changes are you seeing that are a problem for the U? Free heating system, temporary bleachers, winterizing areas of the stadium that were not before? Some would argue the heating system is a negative but if that were true no NFL team would install them in their own stadium much less someplace they don't permanently play. It's likely the cost to maintain/run the system goes down significantly when you don't have to actually have to use it.
