PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. All I want now for Christmas is for Childress to go to Wisco.
 

For the record... I am interested in it too, and I am thinking I will have an equal opportunity (with Childress) to be named the new coach.
 


Chili's has a card too. Agree, if this happened it is our version of the classic:
" White Christmas"
 



Much like the Kill hiring, regardless of whether it's true or not after Wisconsin picks their Coach, we need to add Childress to the list of people who turned them down.

In classic Minnesota fashion, I can see Chilly being a very good college football coach and dominating the Gophers for 20 years.
 



If Chilly was the coach (PLEASE), we would NEVER have to worry about his 2 point chart. His offense won't ever find the endzone against our improved D! ;)

SEC collective pride comes as a response to Southerners taking a beating in the public eye for about 150 years. As one historian of the South has called it, "the emasculation of the Southern male."

It's not just in football (though it's mostly in football). Southerners collectively identify themselves as having something that unites them more than northerners do. When the South was taking a beating from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century, it had few things to respond with in retaliation (and thus became very insular, even up to this point). Once college football became the sport of choice in the 1950s, southerners used their successes on the gridiron as a form of pride and retaliation against decades of shame at their race relations, poor education, lack of industry and structural development, etc.

It's different in the South, in pretty much every way possible.

I've heard he's much different in person than the one he portrays in press conferences and in public. But the players also revolted against him so maybe he's exactly that person.

I hope he brings his kick a$$ offense to Madtown. Bumper to Bumper has a good bit with that...3 & 10, biggest play of the game....Timeout.
 

Please let this be true

and let Alvarez and Wisconsin be interested in Childress. This would be too awesome not to happen. Come on Bucky hire Childress.

I have a friend that went to Alabama, and he roots against Auburn everytime including bowl games.
 

Wisconsin might get Al Golden...just what a "little birdie: mentioned....
 

Nobody wants the job

Is Wiskey the only school that can't seem to fill its open coach position. Others fill in minutes to hours. Hmmmmm!
 

No one wants to move there. It takes a really crappy state to be so bad that I wish it would disappear and leave us as neighbors with White Sox fans.
 

Apparently you don't understand that the position can't be filled under Wisconsin law until December 19. That's the day on which I would watch for an announcement.
 


Has it been a week yet? We took like two months to find a coach and hired a guy toward the bottom of the list after sever turned it down.
 



SI is reporting that Al Golden has received an offer from UW UPDATED: Golden says NO

This is interesting if it is true and he accepts it. Does that mean that we get to see Jedd Fisch yet again.
