Hearing all sorts of rumors about how long he will be out, even leidner like.

It is early but I am hearing the same. Could be much longer term. It's good we got a top ten QB (nationally). Mitch will carry this team this year.

So...what are the rumors??

What happened to Shannon Brooks?

I read somewhere he's out 1-2 weeks. Not sure if that means from today or two weeks in the regular season.

As I sit and take a crap,
I don't care about your crap.
You try to tell the truth to us,
But all I know is you are a .....

Seriously, who is this guy??

Claeys said that he will give an update on Saturday when he is next scheduled to meet with Media.

Lets hope the first frost is a little earlier than mid October this year.

We don't know more than he has a foot injury, and one reporter tweeted he could be out for 1-2 weeks. Claeys said he will update on saturday.

All the tweets I read said it was minor, but who knows.

Obviously, the team is better with a healthy Brooks, but just remember at this time last year, most everyone thought that Nugget was going to carry the load in the backfield.

Since Kill took over we've had a problem of an unusually high number of injuries occurring in practice.

I'm going to go out on a limb and not blame Kill for this one. Kids get dinged up. It happens. I'm not worried. If it happens to sideline him for the year, at least its at a position with decent depth.

This is true. It was a major issue last year and hopefully doesn't carry over.

Freak injuries are one things, but injury prevention and prehab are just as important as the rehab.

Do we know for sure what the Gophers are seeing is unusual? Or is it a) coaches and staff are generally a lot more cautious than in the past when it comes to injuries and b) fans know about them a lot more because of social media?

Per Goblirsch about an hour ago:

"Lol, guess that would be important to include...
Days. Sounds like will only be 7-10 days for Shannon. Not too concerning. Have him ready for game one."

Shannon Brooks injured his foot it
Was in a position he shouldn't have put it.
But Shannon is brave and he knows he'll gain
If he can put up with a little pain.

The funny thing about that is that when this staff came over from Northern Illinois, I remember Kill saying that one of the secrets to his success was a great S&C program that cuts down on injuries.
