In my awkward way I was saying he is a class act who holds no grudges and lives by what he told his players be prepared because things don't always go your way.There is really no reason for Pitino to have bad feelings toward the U of M. He has been around coaching his whole life so he knows how the business works. The U gave him 8 years and the overall level of success he produced in that time wasn't high enough to warrant letting him continue here.
Him going to New Mexico seems like best case scenario for everyone. He gets a fresh start, the U gets out of the buyout and everyone moves on.
Hope we see Pitino NM team play the the Gophers in the NCAA finals in the near future.
