Ahhhhh why you gotta go and ruin all the fun?

People have a tough time admitting that the kid isn't a B1G PG. Role player and a walk on at best.

We should start offering more un-athletic 6 foot point guards like Wolters, Woodward and Broman.

Cal makes me 2/2 on 12/5 upsets. They really screwed the Pac 12 on seeding.

Both the Pac 12 and the Big Ten showing well. Not sure exactly what that portends for Friday night, but I expect a good game.

I personally would like to see intentional fouls by either side abolished within a certain amount of time (maybe a minute or two). It's probably not the popular opinion but deciding the game on the free throw line is so much more boring than deciding it from the three point line.

Flip and GopherHole trade tweets - both liked the strategy by Cal at the end of the game:

GH Tweet: Love Cal's strategy to foul UNLV and not letting them get a 3 off. Too few coaches do this.

Flip tweet in response: @Flip_Saunders: @GopherHole ex NBA coach in Montgomery fouling to not let 3 get off. Love it

GH tweet back at Flip: Agreed. Only see that possession mgmt in NBA RT @Flip_Saunders

Go Gophers!!

VCU up 43 on Akron. As soon as that matchup was announced, I knew it would be a shelling. Akron's starting PG was suspended. They had no chance against the havoc.

...and Akron has flu problems, too. They brought a knife to a gunfight.

When did that PG get suspended?

Missouri getting owned on the boards by CSU...34-15 so far. A lot of those rebounds just seem to be boucning up and over the Mizzou players...Kinda flukey in my opinion. The Missouri defense is pretty bad, plus CSU is shooting really well. Looks like another inexplicable 1 and done for Frank Haith. I wonder if he'll survive this, plus the NCAA stuff coming down.

Haha you picked Cal?

I didn't even have faith in the local boys to make it competitive, even with a de facto home game in San Jose.

I'm a big Mike Montgomery fan, I usually pick him to win at least 1. I have them Sweet 16 this year.

CSU definitely a well schooled team with nifty players. Iverson looks like a completely different player than I remember. He looks confident, and he looks like he has a plan and a purpose out there.

He played worse against a non Big Ten team than your most hated player ever did against a Big Ten team so what doesn't make sense about it?

Chill out. No hate for Wolters, he just isn't a B1G PG. Why would I believe Wolters could do the job when he can't compete at a major conference level?

Burke will play in the NBA, Wolters would be lucky to make a team in the D-League.

Missouri might be the only team in the nation with a bigger talent/basketball IQ variance than the Gophers. Pressey, Brown, Bell and Ross are soooooooo dumb on the court.

We will see how good Burke is on Saturday. Should be a great game.

I hate to admit it, but I had the exact same thought watching this game. A savvy, well-coached outfit like CSU really exposes them.

Damn picked Missouri....another 8-9 bracket loss. Iverson looks better than I thought.

My story, too. Between them and Pitt, they're making me look like a buffoon.

Harvard has a case of the Tubby's. They can't inbound the ball.

The announcer says that that is something you rarely see.

He must not watch the Gophers. It's a pretty regular occurrence up here.

Not too shabby! Harvard just pulled the biggest upset so far in the NCAA Big Dance

I'm so pissed off at myself for listening to the east coast biased experts talk up Pitt...They really stunk and I had them losing until I watched some of those so-called "experts" talk me into taking Pitt with the 5th year SR PG and future lottery pick Center...BS! They were beaten by a much better group of basketball players from Wichita State. That's the only game I got wrong along with New Mexico, who everybody missed.

Great win by Harvard. New Mexico is my second incorrect pick, but I'm liking my Arizona Sweet 16 pick now.

I coulda told you that. Pitt is a perennial underachiever in the tournament.
