I hope that was sarcasm? You risk running a play up the middle and they don't get big yardage you get exactly what happened....no first down, no stopping the clock, and no points. That was one of the most pathetic 2 minute drills I've seen in a while, disgusting play calling. You guys are unreal. We had the ball at midfield and the clock stops all the time in college football. Relax. Gray is only averaging 11 yards a carry...
You shouldn't. You wouldn't call an adult male a "boy", unless you want to get punched in the face. They're not girls; they are adults.
It's possible to make this criticism without sounding like an idiot. At least for some people it is.
Pump your brakes....I use girls, women, females interchangeably like a large segment of the US population.
First game I've had a chance to watch this year and this all looks pretty familiar. Another year, another crappy Gopher football team.
Thats right, the clock does not stop on a first down...I forgot. Relax big boy. Northwestern has given up huge leads in the 2nd half twice this season. Game is only half over last time I checked.
What's your problem with women?
I have not issue with women. However, I like my football traditional. Women all over the announcing function detracts from the game for me, and I assume from others as I don't see any women announcing NFL games. If you don't mind ESPN attempting to make Gopher games a cross between football and a 3 hour Summers Eve *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# commercial, fine....but I don't like it.
I hate to say this but it seems our playcalling is more aggressive when Shortell is in & more diverse. Running on 3rd & Long twice with Gray??? Come on now...
At least give us a chance to make a first...
Trying to think of any good women football play by play announcers. Give me sometime now.
Another year, another year closer to death, too.
The gophers will stop being crappy long before I die. And if I am wrong, who cares?!?
Iowa has 12 rushing yard in the first half vs. MSU.
Please, just because they're women doesn't mean they don't have potential to be good announcers.
ESPN coverage isn't governed by Title IX, so I suggest all comments should be directed toward Bristol, CT. They do their market research and my guess is they wouldn't choose the announcing teams they do if there weren't something in it for their bottom line.
Another sign our defense is awesome
Or not
I can already tell you what. No one cares about games on ESPN2 so why spend too much money on announcers?

ESPN's insistence on featuring female PBP is about perception and avoiding lawsuits. There isn't a football fan on the planet who wants to listen to sub-par garbage like we have today.

Exactly my point - further - watch any SEC games and you will not get a female announcer. They do this to the Gophers because we are 'Minnesota Nice' and we have been so conditioned not to complain (as seen on this board), they know they can get away with it. It is BS. We have recruits watching these games and this leaves a bad impression on them - like I said - it does not feel like football.
