*** OFFICIAL MINNESOTA-MEMPHIS IN-GAME THREAD ***

What's the all-time record for Minnesota scoring in a game? 42? Kundla?

It's good to see at the end of the game that all i'll have left to grumble about is Hollins missing out on 40.

* OR NOT

Props to Andre Hollins. 5 for 5 from three, 12 for 16 from the floor and 12 for 13 from the line. 41 points. Well played man.

YES YES DRE IS THE MAN! U CAN SEE THAT SMILE ON HIS FACE!!!W WHAT A "GAME!

Dre was insane. Lots of blocks. Solid FT shooting. Good job taking the charge.

Terrible rebounding. Terrible ball handling and passing as usual.

Basketball and Football games at the same time tomorrow.

I'm feeling pretty good about this year's Gophers! Even the loss to Duke wasn't that bad. Duke was just shooting lights out. Hopefully one more win and the Gophers get ranked.

I once saw Trent Tucker put up 40 + in a game. Note that was before there was a three point line...so it would have been more like 50+. I am trying to find the single game scoring record but have not had luck.

Sorry to reply to my own post, but on the radio stream they said the last player to hit 41 points was Ollie Schannon in 1971, so my memory must not be serving me too well.

gophers beat #17 Memphis, Dre made a national name for himself and the Gophers, tyus, take note of how much fun it will be to stay home and be a Gopher.

I challenge Tyus Jones to prove to us that he can and will be a better Gopher than what Dre showed today. You are on, Tyus.

Well done, Gophers.

The TV announcers said it was Humphries.

Let's not forget the "other" Andre today. He gave us some big minutes and for the first 30 minutes, he was our best big man, and that includes Trevor, Mo and EE.

Go Gophers!!

Seriously laughed at Myron Medcalf's tweet:

Jack Taylor is not impressed by Dre Hollins’ 41 points, though. Probably thinking, “Man, you should have taken more shots.”

Correction. Ollie Schannon had 42 points, Andre Hollins was 1 point shy of tying the record for most points in a game.

'71 and Eric Magnanz in '62 share the record of 42 points in a game.
