We need a Weisman; with him, we'd be in the game - and we've needed a big, strong running back for years. Shortell would click if he had a back like Weisman to move the ball and open up the passing game. Why can't we find a guy like that in the JC ranks? (Glad we finally scored).
 


Looks like they made some good adjustments. Now let's get a stop and do it again.

I really can't say if it s the backor the Oline. Think back to all the lightly recruited guys Mase found that looked like world beaters (Terry Jackson comes to mind).

Kirkwood would be better than Weisman if he could run behind that line.
 









Ball hit the ground on that Iowa second down pass - or so it looked on TV. Anyway, we have the ball back.
 



Really don't understand all the option runs with Shortell keeping the ball. Especially with the concern that if he gets hurt, you may have to put Nelson in the game and jeopardize his redshirt. Seems llike you eliminate those plays where Shortell can get killed. Of course, we're gonna have to toss the ball around now.
 


Underthrow the receiver again, but this time you get an Interference Call. Nice!
