*** OFFICIAL GOPHERS/LEATHERNECKS IN-GAME THREAD ***

Yep, Nelson is done for the day per Justin Gaard.

I hope this isn't the case, but when you don't really see anything wrong with the replay on the injury, it could also be an ACL type injury. Didn't look like a Sprain.

What a sad, pathetic, frustrating half of football. We could not look any worse. I was disappointed by the first two games, and I'm absolutely sickened by this one thus far.

Wow, apparently we are happy with a 1 point lead at half against a crappy team! Why no timeout and attempt to do something after the punt? No wonder the stands are so empty. This is very painful to watch.

Good thing Macalester or St Olaf don't have any openings on their schedules.

Hard to take any positivity out of that half of football. Anybody?????

Leidner takes over, Streveler #2, Jones #3, Nelson transfers to Iowa State...

This team may struggle to beat the 2010 or 2011 version of the Gophers.

I was wondering about this as well.

There is no QB controversy yet... we haven't even seen anything but runs from Leidner. And all we do is run, and Nelson is slightly better at running.

Western Illinois playing well and Gophers looked not quite ready to play. Dull offense and QB running too much. Defense may decide game for us - or lose it. Nelson limping badly.

Offensive Coordinator must have learned from Brad Childress and Bill Musgrave...that was painful to watch. No imagination whatsoever, can't wait till we get to the B1G season and we keep running our QB into a brick wall of bigger, faster and stronger D-Linemen and Linebackers.

What a deflating 75 minutes for a Gopher fan. Ugh. I don't see the rest of this season going real well.

Wow, what an awful day. Here's to Kill's health and hopefully a Gopher victory.
