***OFFICIAL GOPHERS AT TCU IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

"Throw back Big 10 quarterback."

From the Big 10 era before the forward pass.

And that's another Golden Gopher first down*

*off defensive penalty

What we are seeing today….

I posted early in the week my surprise that Minnesota is 14th in the Big Ten in total offense and 13 in total defense. However, the Gophers were number 1 at plus 4 in turnover margin. The turnovers of the opponents, some of them downright gifts, masked some serious issues that this team has on both sides of the ball. Today, with no gifts, some those issues are surfacing against a much better team.

It's sure as hell not Mitch's fault.

He showed up on campus to play tight and and they handed him the ball.

Typical Gopher football, will this program ever get over the hump

Almost Mitch. Only overthrew him by 5 yards. Can we slip Ponder into Leidner's uniform?

"He's a throwback big ten qb, I know they love him up in Minnesota"..... Clearly he doesn't subscribe to the gopherhole..

Get Leidner out of there! The other QB's can't play any worse.

On the bright side, we're targeting Maxx a lot and upping the number of pass to run ratio, so that should satisfy some of the scribes and posters...

Take Leidner out. Plenty of time and he steps up in the pocket without any pressure from the outside? Good protection. Enough time to throw.

We need to be scouring the JC's for a new QB.

I usually try and be positive but it is getting more and more difficult.

I'll say this for Leidner, he can over-throw a receiver as well as, if not better, than any quarterback now playing.

Leidner isn't doing very well and he very may well not be the answer and the whole thing with Kill forcing him as the leader of the team, et al was destined to fail because he's not the leader, but it sure would have helped to let him throw it more in the first two games our coaches are morons for how they go about things in the early games thinking we can turn it on when needed. Plus, playing a game with Limegrover's offense and offensive line is like sending our skill player into a gun fight with no bullets.
