Mike Panasiuk has a top 3 of Michigan State Penn State and Wisconsin and is going announce his decision on Monday I guess. Michigan State likely his choice considering he set the announcement date right after he received his offer while on a visit to Michigan State today. Thats a shame, really wanted him, and I'm pretty sure incoming freshman was a teammate of his

Wisconsin has had a very strange recruiting year this year, one that makes no sense to me, and from lurking on their forums the fan base does not seem happy with the results so far. They have struck out with every major recruit so far including a instate kid to western michigan, the same program they made fun of us for beating out for recruits. They also never offered fairly rated OL from Wisconsin and another from Mizzou who they probably would have been in drivers seat for, most assumed it was because they were going after 2 highly thought of recruits from Wisconsin, but then they go ahead an offer a kid from Minnesota who's best offer is SDSU and UND? They also offered DE from WI who only had FCS offers so far with none being from FCS powerhouse NDSU. They already have DE commited that according to 1 wisconsin poster is at best a D2 player. Their best committed recruit so far is a RB who commited while they had no coach, and there are reports that he is still being recruited by top programs. When he committed he cited that the program always has a great line and he wanted a good line to run behind, but so far they have 0 OL committed and if they strike out on their 2 stud in state lineman (reports say the better 1 of them is deciding between Mich and Dame) I can honestly see them losing their committed stud RB.
Cryst has always struggled to recruit, always been the knock on him, might not be all his fault, have to think all the coaching changes have hurt too, but things are not looking good for their program. MSU who I'd say was in the same Tier as them are completely blowing them out of the water in recruiting and are using their success to go in the right direction, sconies, not so much. I understand that recruiting isn't all about stars and you can find the diamonds in the rough, but when you are only getting players who only getting players with FCS offers, chances are most are going to be just that talent wise, FCS type players. Crazy to think that a consistently 10 win team is forced to having to accept these type of players into their program.
We might be seeing the end of an era...

Not going to Wisconsin..........
Another strikeout for Wisconsin by missing out on Panasiuk, but good news for them is they did pick up a commitment today from Tyler Biadasz who had some big time FCS offers, took a possible PWO candidate away from us too. But on a serious note, Michigan State is killing it, that Dline is going to be sick, they got 2 stud DE's committed and now a stud DT.

We were in Pansiuk's top 6, and his good friend/high school teammate (Antonio Shenault) was trying to get him here. Really wish he would have visited us, so it's a "strikeout" for us as much as it is for Wisky...
True, we did strikeout too, so did Penn State and others, the difference is, Wisconsin has yet to have meaningful commitment besides a guy who committed with no coach in place, and looks likely to flip, I guess the the main point of my post was ANOTHER strikeout for wisconsin

You gotta be factchecker on Buckyville, right?
I guess your definition of "meaningful" is up to you, but I'd take Currens and Stokke on the Gophers and would consider them meaningful.
Currens only had MAC level offers
Knowing a little about NW Wisconsin Football; here is an interesting comparison on how well Wisconsin "coaches up" its recruits. Some of you may know the name "Jake Keefer" in 2011. He was ranked #1 player in Wisconsin, #10 Inside Linebacker in the Nation and the #240 recruit in the Nation that year. He was 6-3, 250 when he graduated HS. Fast forward to his Wisconsin Career: As a Red-Shirt Junior, he was way down on the production list on the defense (25th in Tackles) and I believe did not start.
Now we have Mason Stokke; 7th or 8th out of a weaker recruit field, 6-3, 205 and I really doubt that he will be coached up to anywhere near where he would be had he chosen Minnesota. I don't know; Wisconsin shouldn't get too excited about recruits. Their track record is generally mediocre with In-State talent. There are a few, but it's by far the exception.
oops, forgot Illinois is in the B1G not MAC
Insert JJ Watt and Jared Abbredarius. Also, didn't they have a RB in that same 2011 class? I think he was the #2 rated prospect in Wis.
Might mean nothing but 247 crystalball moving towards Juco OT Walvenski Aime committing to gophers. http://247sports.com/Player/Walvenski-Aime-80870
Melvin Gordon, John Clay, Nick Toon, Lance Kendricks, Peter Konz, Gabe Carimi, Joe Thomas, Kevin Zeitler, Travis Frederick, Jim Leonard, Josh Ogelsby, Ricky Wagner, Mike Taylor, Ryan Groy, Brady Ewing, Derek Watt, Vince Biegel, Derek Landisch etc.
Aime is a DT

Jango Glackin committed to Northwestern today. Not sure if anyone heard of this very strange story, but this kid claimed that he and his parents went to Madison for his visit(paid for by the family) wanting to Verbally commit to the Badgers, however stud head coach Paul Chryst (who I guess is responsible for for finding Watt, Melvin, and others according to posters above) was not there for this kids visit, they were not informed by this until after they got there. So Jango Glackin and his family decided to hold back from committing. His dad claimed he would have committed had Chryst been there.
