Since we only accept verbals from players that have been on campus, if it's a 2015 player it's probably Ray or Kelly. It's possible that it could be Rodgers, Davis or Sykes, but none of those would really classify as "out of left field." It's not Craighton since he's announcing on 10/18.
 

Wyatt Ray just became "hot" to Minnesota on 247. Never seen the term "hot" on 247. Done deal.

I believe it has been stated that the plan was to take 6 DBs in this class and with the addition of Shenault we are up to 3 and there is a decent chance that Craighton could commit next week and make 4. That would leave 2 spots available with Kelly, Sykes, Redwine, Barnes, Rogers, Jackson, Christian, Davis, and others still uncommitted who look to be pretty good prospects so I wonder if in certain cases they would decide to sign more than 6 DBs if not if these guys really want to be Gophers they may have to decide quicker than they originally planned.

The "hot " label for Ray was present for about an hour. It was probably fueled by the silent verbal to announce tomorrow.

I would think they'd take more especially considering we seem to like having LB's that can go sideline to sideline. Hard to know how some of these guys project at their current sizes

Any chance Craighton might be thinking along the lines of 'Goldy Gopher'? I'm not a recruiting expert by any means, but based on his offer list he might be moving quickly to make sure the Gophers don't cool off on him before some other DBs heat up on the Gophers.

Great news about Alonzo!
I am hoping that Green was impressed by the great game against Northwestern and he will be punching his golden ticket come Wednesday! This is going to be a good recruiting class.

Green is for 2016, he is only a Junior. He truly has 16 months before he can sign with anyone.
