You expect a professional? Unfortunately that's not the standard in the Twin Cities, just look at Mike Max, he regularly proves how unprofessional you can be and keep a job in the Cities.

Yeah, she was awful. I am normally not too nitpicky on Gopher coverage, I'll take what I can get, but she was brutal. I'm not sure exactly who it was, but it sounded like the camera man started asking questions because of the 15 second paper shuffle and "um. . . so. . . um" at the end of the interview. It's shocking KSTP put that on their website instead of cutting it up into soundbites.

Judging from his heavy crystal ball shift to Missouri I'm assuming they offered and he's visiting there this weekend instead of Minnesota. Bummer.
 

STrib: Roseville quarterback Perra commits to play for Gophers

“There’s no greater feeling,” Perra said in an interview. “It’s a weight off my shoulders knowing I get to be part of a program on the rise.”

The Gophers, who recently lost quarterback Philip Nelson when the sophomore announced his decision to transfer, intensified their interest in Perra last weekend. Perra took a campus visit and watched hours of film with quarterbacks coach Jim Zebrowski. On Sunday, Perra and his family met with head coach Jerry Kill at Kill’s home.

Kill also met with Perra and Raiders’ coach Chris Simdorn at Roseville High School on Tuesday. Perra said Kill “doesn’t do this for many preferred walk-ons” but “wanted to make sure I knew how much he wanted me.”

Perra plans to graduate in March and attend Gophers’ spring practices, though he cannot participate and enroll in the college in May.

His Florida visit was cancelled this weekend and it appears Michigan has decided they don't want any RB's in this class so he's not headed there either.

Holland is really tall or Anderson is unable to ride a lot of the rides at amusement parks.

Seriously, I hope we land Holland. Kid is a real riser and we need both talent and depth at the WR position.
 

As mentioned previously, if the Gophers are able to land 3 of Holland Jr., Gentry, Lenius, Kemp and Lewis, the improvement of athleticism at WR is going to be scary. My best case scenario is Holland Jr., Gentry and Lewis (I'm not too sure about the Gophers' chances with Lenius otherwise he'd be on the list) commit to play WR (I'd like to see Kemp commit to the Gophers and play some DB). I think its a safe bet that if 3 commit, 2 of the 3 will see playing time next year.

"When I called coach Brian Anderson to commit, he was actually at my friend Melvin Holland Jr.'s house," Smith explained. "I told him that I had committed to ECU and there was silence. He told that if that was the best decision for me, so be it. Then I told him I was playing and I wanted to be a Gopher. I wanted to have some fun with my decision since it'd been a long stressful process. Coach Anderson was real pumped and I can't wait to play for him. I'm going to definitely start to get in Melvin's ear about Minnesota some more too."

A Rutgers visit isnt showing up on Melvin Holland Jr., rivals page anymore. It looks like (for the time being) down to Wake Forest and the Gophers. That makes 3 WRs that aer down to Wake Forest and the Gophers. I like the Gophers' chances with Holland Jr. and wouldnt mind adding one of the other two.

Pretty sure it isn't showing up because Holland is still deciding between Rutgers and Wisconsin for that last visit.

I thought Wisconsin was scheduled for this weekend and when it looked like Wisconsin was going to get a different commit it was cancelled.

Edit: 247 shows a Rutgers visit on 1/31/14.
