Official 2014 Recruiting Updates Thread: Links, Tweets, Videos, Stories, Rumors, etc.

I think it's more of an offer drought than anything. Right now everyone is competing for the same 4-5 star players who have yet to commit. When those guys start committing in the next couple weeks here it moves players around on boards to be offered.

A lot of these kids are waiting on a school to decide whether they're going to be offered or not too. (i.e. John Smith has an offer from the Gophers, but Alabama says we're really interested. John will sit on that Gopher offer as long as possible until Bama says yes or no...... or until Kill says he needs an answer)

Urban Meyer called Frank Ragnow last night per Kyle Goblirsch of 247.

Go Gophers!!

I have a question for the Board. Can a verbal commit come and attend any home game with complimentary tickets and talk to team members/coaches?

Any player, verballed or not, can come and have free tickets to every home game if they wished. However, on gameday, there isn't a lot of personal time with coaches because they're busy with pregame and there are usually plenty of other reruits there.

I think he's going to be at the game today.

According to his twitter, Frank Ragnow to narrow his list down today.

My guess would be something like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida State, Ohio State, and Arkansas.

Complimentary tickets and parking if it's an unofficial visit...can't get free airfare, lodging, food, etc. unless it's an official visit.

Go Gophers!!

Interesting mix of great academic schools and not so much. If I was a recruit, Cal and Stanford would have a ton of appeal to me. That said, if he wants to make it as an NFL O-lineman he'd be better off at a school that isn't going to pass the ball 90% of the time.

Great statement by Frank Ragnow above. I very much want him to choose the Gophers but if he decides to go elsewhere (except for Wisconsin) I will always pull for him.

Recruiting is starting to worry me a little bit.

Any word on Fla RB Greg Howell's visit last weekend?
