Mason, McBrayer and Dorsey suspended

It's likely the majority of the people calling for heads are the same that have cheated on their girlfriends or wives or may be those that believe they are so righteous as to judge others but never look in the mirror. The behavior is certainly questional but no laws were broken as far as we know so leave the moral judgement to someone that is qualified.

They broke team rules and cost their team a game just when the team was getting some positive momentum. Dorsey for the second time this year.

Outside of my personal feelings on what they did, that is a ****ty thing to do to your team, your coach, and the fans.

I suspect suspensions aren't Pitino's decision. This one came from above. And quite frankly, I'm glad it did. Hope they're suspended for at least the Wisconsin game, too. See how fun it is for them to watch their teammates get their butts kicked by their biggest rival.

What would make you think this wasn't Pitino's decision? I realize you don't like him, but he's been stern if nothing else on punishment so far. Do you also think it was from above to kick Morris off the team? Same with Lofton? Dorsey suspension earlier this year?

Pitino's' players don't respect/fear him

That is contributing to the rash of behavioral issues and problem players and could be his death knell.

Also, its clear the three student-athletes (cough) in question have no respect for their teammates or university, either.

I'm guessing university is trying to find out what happened. Until they do I'm sure they decided the trio shouldn't play tonight. Have to wait for more info to come out.

Thankfully the U is known for making quick decisive actions in situations like this.

With a problem of this level, the athletic director would have to be involved and would certainly have the final word. But I wouldn't say it came from above.

Who says I don't like him? I have expressed reservations, yes.

I think this situation, the edict came from above. For clarity, that means someone higher than the head coach. And my guess is Pitino didn't fight it, nor should he.

There was no crime committed. Goetz probably advised, but this decision is absolutely Pitino's. And I applaud him for his decision.

Anyone calling for any to be kicked off the team are most likely trolling. They cannot honestly believe that.

So you're saying the AD isn't above the head basketball coach?

Well the only thing that might make it seem like it was from above was that nothing was said about it until tonight just before the game. All the guys came with on the trip, which makes it seem like a decision might not have been made by the coach either. I don't know who made the decision...but whoever did made the correct one. I don't know otherwise, so I'll assume it was Pitino...maybe he has been talking to those above this weekend before making the decision.

I will say this...hopefully the decision was made by Pitino and he understands doing the right thing is more important than winning tonights game or even the game against Wisconsin.

Perfect shot on BTN of Sharp with Mason, Dupree and Dorsey on bench in background. Hope the shame and embarrassment runs deep.

Good point.

This has gotta be a joke. These 3 made a bad decision and will learn from it and move on. What they did should have never got out to the public but it did and now they are facing the consequences, it is not that big of deal and time to move on.

Well yes it shouldn't have gotten out to the public....but they brought it to the public. I'm not blaming Pitino for this....but it is more than just a little mistake by these three players.

Block M's comment is incredibly stupid, but I would hold judgment on the bold part of your statement.

I think you know what I am saying. And I know what you're saying. We say it differently. If Pitino made the wrong decision, I am sure it would have been corrected for him. But we won't know, will we?

The fact that the suspension happened after the trip could just as likely be that the coach didn't find out/make his decision until after the flight left. Didn't it get posted last night? Very possible he didn't have time to react.

SS, what are you going off of on the fact that you think Pitino didn't make this decision?

Let's not put this on pitino!
They have no respect for anything! They obviously don't respect the university or care about the program but let's not bring pitino into this.

The triple suspension implies Mason & Dupree were the other players "performing drills" in the videoes. Anyone agree?

You do realize I was referring to someone else stating that? Sharp did about as well as he could tonight especially considering the situation but he is not better than McBrayer and Dorsey.

I think what happened was pretty clear. Unless there are legal issues time to move on. I'm sure the players got an earful of what where you thinking? And a if anything like this happens again you are gone.

No one said that, either. I said his first half gave us more than we either of those two would've given us. That's it. He was outplaying them. Obviously that changed in the second half.

I should say as the situation is currently laid out it is not a big deal and time to move on. If there was some type of consent issue or other thing then there would be a problem.

Right now, I will take Sharp. He is hungry and will work hard to correct any mistakes. He has more fire than I have seen from the Three Amigos.

I don't know how you can't see McBrayer has been outstanding lately.
