If you have a Roku (and probably other devices) you can stream ESPN3 directly from it. When the internet connection is sufficient, there really is no noticable difference between the TV channel and the stream. BTN2Go is sadly not on there as of yet.
Yep, this is pretty much what I said. I'll also add that ESPNU is in HD and comes in very nicely, which is another plus if your cable provider doesn't offer ESPNU in HD (like Charter in Madison).
I have been cable free since February 1st and really haven't missed it too much. I use Roku for anything on the ESPN family of networks and use BTN2GO (which sucks) or FirstRowSports for anything else that is cable sports related. A cheap HD antenna gets me all of the local networks (including CBS college basketball).
