Agreed - we did just well enough to suffer on Selection Sunday.Given the fact that we were picked to finish near the bottom of the conference, I don't think that it can be said that this is a "failed season." While the fact that we made it to the NCAA bubble at the end of the season and didn't quite make it in is disappointing, it is also the fact that we only reached that point because it was a relatively successful season. True, we had some tough losses, but I don't think the fact that we almost had a very good season changes the fact that we over achieved based on pre-season expectations. I'm looking forward to the NIT. While we have some veterans, we also have some young players who can benefit from the experience.
We'll go to the games.
NIT requires a better than .500 season. I notice that Illinois is the only other BT team - so no Indiana. Think they said 'No thank you'?
