Tuesday against High Point on freakin ESPN3....can't even watch it

We play High Point on Tuesday. Looks like a pretty easy path to the "Final Four"
 

Gophers host Tubby Smith's alma mater, High Point, on Tuesday night. If we win will we play the winner of Saint Mary's and Utah.

Potential second round game against St Mary's and then Missouri. I follow the west coast teams so would be interested in watching us against st Mary's.

Who or what is......... Highpoint?? Community college? Technical College? Culinary Institute?

So you'd prefer we move into a smaller conference just so we have a good shot of winning the tourney every year and getting a 12 seed?

Just because you get ESPN does not automatically mean you get ESPN3. Most providers are subscribed to it, but some are not.

+1 I'm not going to say that making the NIT is better than making the NCAA tournament - it's not, making the NCAA is clearly better. But being a #1 seed in the NIT is not a terrible thing. Things are only humiliating if you let yourself be humiliated. It is what it is, if we have to be in the NIT, then let's win it.

This. It's ok to look at the bright side. Buggs and McNeil should get some good PT.
 


I don't really consider this a legitimate tournament since every team has to play the same number of games. There should be a "First Four" so more mediocre teams have a shot to play.
 


What an unbelievable year. #1 seed in the NIT and the dream match-up vs. High Point.
 

Iowa used a deep NIT run last year to build some media hype and high rankings this year, even though they clearly didn't deserve it. It isn't what anybody wants, but it beats sitting and watching everyone else play.
