3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented? I would like to see announcements about banned members. Banned members seem to be prominent and then disappear. Were Bronco, ZTA, Loon all banned or did some just disappear?

Note that I do not argue with the act of banning just think a short announcement is warranted.

Nebraska, Iowa State or other teams geographically close. I have always thought a home and home with Iowa State in the same season would be possible and desirable (similar programs, play back to back for some excitement, fans can travel easily).

But i would like to see them play one top 25 team in NC every year, preferrably somewhere that has some blue chip prospects nearby (Texas, California, Fla, etc.)

1. What do you like about the GopherHole site? This is the place where the best discussion of Gopher basketball and football takes place. I appreciate everyone's passion for the Gophers, even if it leads into what I don't like.

2. What do you dislike about GopherHole? At times, the discussion forums here have been unreadable. Certain posters whose sole purpose on this board is to tear coaches a new a-hole. Things get nasty and threads get hijacked and when it's over, no one is reading the pi$$ing contest.

3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented? Be more trigger happy with the trolls and shredders.

1. Your favorite football and/or basketball game that you attended: Last year's BB at the Kohl Center. A friend is a grad student at UWM (but he hates the weasels), and got us tickets right next to the pep band. I remember talking with them at the 4-minute timeout of the second half

2. Where have you attended Gopher football and/or basketball on the Road? Football: Iowa and Wisconsin, Basketball: Iowa, Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Michgan

4. If possible, what non-conference opponent would you like to have on the Gopher schedule annually (football and/or basketball)? I would like to see Washington, Nebraska, and Texas A&M on the schedule. Nebraska because of the great fans, A&M because of their quirky traditions, and Washington because Seattle is a fantastic road trip, much moreso than Eugene, Corvallis, or Pullman).

1. What do you like about the GopherHole site? I enjoy the articles by Nadine and others. I enjoy banter of the posters, after being on this site for so long it feels like I know the posters, despite the fact I have have never met them. I enjoy the Pick per day by Snowman during basketball and the football picks by Gopher Rock. Cures my gambling jones without having to lose any money.

2. What do you dislike about GopherHole? I really dislike the constant whining and complaining after a loss, it appears to me that most of these people complaining about a loss (both football and basketball) are most likely not even Gopher fans for the most part, they are strictly on here to stir the pot. Nobody is more disappointed than me when the Gophers lose, but if you insist on making a jackass of yourself then it is probably best to not post for a few hours after a loss. I also dislike throwing players under the bus, they may have bounced the ball off their toe, or fumbled at the 1 yard line, but they are still 18 to 21 year old kids. If a kid making a mistake causes you such angst you probably need to not watch anymore........but if a guy is making a million bucks a year and fumbles at the one yard line, have at him!!!

3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented? I really do not know how much more the people who run this site can do, in my opinion they do a fabulous job. Keep up the good work!!!

1. Your favorite football and/or basketball game that you attended: I attended a basketball game against Northwestern the year after the Final Four run, the Barn was still full of excitement from the Final Four run at that time. I am more of a football fan, but none of the Dome games had any atmosphere, I am anxious to make a trek to the new stadium.

2. Where have you attended Gopher football and/or basketball on the Road? Madison for football.

3. Who do you attend Gopher games with (spouse, parent, child, friend(s), alone, etc.)? My wife and children. Friends come with us sometimes.

4. If possible, what non-conference opponent would you like to have on the Gopher schedule annually (football and/or basketball)? I would really like to see us play Washington in football. I think this would be a nice road trip to see a game. Marquette in basketball seems like a no-brainer.

1. What do you like about the GopherHole site? The community. I guess that means everything from reading insights/viewpoints that I hadn’t thought of before to Nadine helping me sell my extra tickets for the Illinois game. This also gives me an outlet since I have a limited number of Gopher friends in Madison to talk anything Gopher with.

2. What do you dislike about GopherHole? Stir the pot posters (that includes both true trolls and negative nelly Gopher fans who just like to get a rise out of people) or posters who refuse to acknowledge opposing viewpoints or arguments. I also hate the tone of the board after a loss (or even after a win sometimes). This place is bi-polar to the extreme when it comes to good wins (We’re the kings of the world!) or losses/bad wins (fire anyone and everyone, bench everyone, etc).

3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented? Not sure. I should remind myself not to feed the trolls as I have a tendency to get sucked in when I’m having a bad day.

1. Your favorite football and/or basketball game that you attended: Football: Air Force, this year. Experiencing the loudest rouser I’ve ever heard while in the new stadium was fantastic. Close second would be the Rhys Llyod mad dash for the Axe game in 2003. For basketball it would have to be the ’05 game against Wisky when Vincent Grier went off and scored as many points in the second half as the whole Badger team.

Football: Notre Dame, Oregon, Washington, BYU, Nebraska, Cincinnati, any SEC team, Boston College, Virginia because I’d like to catch the away game of the home and home with any of these schools.

1. What do you like about the GopherHole site? It is a one stop shop for all Gopher information. I like the recruiting information I get, because it's free and in-depth enough for what I want. I also really enjoy the banter during Badger/Hawkeye week. It makes the rivalry that much more entertaining.

2. What do you dislike about GopherHole? Often times there are petty arguments instead of in-depth discussion. I would much rather read about why coach Brew is/is not the answer than read name calling (Masonite or not a "real" fan). Also, I think people often miss the humor in a lighthearted post that turns into a highjacked thread.

3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented? None, really. Some of the problems are inherent with internet message boards.

1. Your favorite football and/or basketball game that you attended: The 2005 double OT win over Purdue. It was my first year with Gopher season tickets and unfortunately one of the only big wins I have seen live.

2. Where have you attended Gopher football and/or basketball on the Road? For football, Wisconsin, Purdue and Iowa. No basketball games yet.

3. Who do you attend Gopher games with (spouse, parent, child, friend(s), alone, etc.)? My sister, brother-in-law, and a friend of theirs mostly.

4. If possible, what non-conference opponent would you like to have on the Gopher schedule annually (football and/or basketball)? For football I would just like to see a BCS school every year. An SEC team would be fun. For basketball, it would be fun to have a Kansas, UCONN, UNC, Duke or major power on the schedule every year.

1. What do you like about the GopherHole site? Great source for all things Gopher. I enjoy the banter between Gopher fans and opponents during build up before big games. Recruiting insight is always helpful since I love to follow the teams...but don't always follow the recruiting portion.

2. What do you dislike about GopherHole? Trolls and negativity that seems to run unbridled at times.

3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented? Overall pretty good...but having more interviews with coaches would be great.

1. Your favorite football and/or basketball game that you attended: Football- First game vs Air Force this past year at the new stadium. If we can only have that type of energy for every home game. Basketball- anygame we play vs Iowa/Wisconsin in the Barn and to see their fans go home very quiet.

2. Where have you attended Gopher football and/or basketball on the Road? Football- Iowa, Cal, Insight Bowl games. This year debating between Purdue on the road or Wisconsin. Basketball- none

Football- Service Academy teams (Army, Navy, AF) on a rotating schedule. Getting the Gophers/Fan out to the service academies would be some great trips. Basketball- Georgia, Tulsa, or Kentucky....bring Tubby's old teams back from some games.

Information about the team I love. The influx of fans over the years I've been associated with the site.

2. What do you dislike about GopherHole?
The constant name calling if you disagree with either of the two main factions on the board. Being automatically called one thing or another depending on your post.

3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented?
Closer monitoring of some of the name calling and threats issued on the board. I can live with disagreements, but threats have no place anywhere, let alone here.

1. Your favorite football and/or basketball game that you attended: My first Gopher game against Central Michigan at the dome in 1987. The Sun Bowl against Oregon we won (and listening to the respect of the Oregon players on the flight back to my parents in Vegas the next day). Favorite Gopher event of all time wwas the Hockey NC in 2002 in St. Paul. Was at the game and was on TV as a face in the crowd just before we scored the game winning tying goal.

With the 12 game schedule, I'd like to see the Big Ten go to a 10 game conference season and a two game Non Conference schedule. A warm up, a BCS conference team and then into the season (Ideally, no team would be allowed to play for the NC if they didn't play at least 50% of their NC games against BCS opponents).

For the BCS opponent, I'd like to see a football matchup like the ACC challenge in Basketball. Match up with a conference and go head to head with teams that finish about the same year over year. Not particular as to which conference.

2. What do you dislike about GopherHole? In the last year or so, it seems that there are WAY more trolls, etc. that pollute the message board and at times make it unreadable.

3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented? Maybe pull threads when they get too out of control? I like that the site moderators are pretty hands-off, but like I said, recently there are way more trolls lurking around, ruining it for everyone else.

1. 2003 Sun Bowl vs. Oregon- it was the first bowl game I attended, and boy was it fun- Rhys Lloyd pulling out a victory at the end of the game against a formidable Ducks team.
2. The Michigan Dome Collapse. While we did not win this game, and I still have nightmares about it, I still remember the lead-up to the game and how excited everybody was for it. Plus, WCCO had a reporter on campus interviewing people before the game, and I got interviewed on TV!
3. 2005 Men's Basketball vs. Becky- Vince Grier single handedly pushed the Gophers to victory by completely taking over the second half.

1. What do you like about the GopherHole site? Being out of state, and knowing how terribly the Twin Cities media cover the Gophers, this is how I stay connected to the athletic programs. Great mix of informative and funny posters. And the ones who are neither funny nor informative, at least the ones that reside on the off-topic board, still provide countless hours of entertainment.

2. What do you dislike about GopherHole? Same as everyone else - the folks whose only purpose is to ruffle feathers. It's a waste of time for everyone, and does nothing to help the program. And at it's core, I believe GH should be about helping the program.

3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented? Quicker hook on the trolls. Addition of links to opposing team's message boards - the ones not affiliated with Rivals. I don't frequent other team's sites, but this would be a feature that could drive more traffic to this site and others like it.

1. What do you like about the GopherHole site? I come to the GopherHole looking for the latest news on football and basketball. I enjoy the staff articles. I also get a kick out of the threads that evolve into discussions of esoteric subjects such as breakfast cereal (thanks Schnoodler).

2. What do you dislike about GopherHole? The extremely disrespectful tone that some people bring to some of the discussions. The pissing contests. The rare posts that evolve into crude comments about women's physical attributes (geez guys, grow up). The people who make racially or culturally insensitive comments (perhaps without realizing it) and get defensive when challenged -- none of us are perfect and we all should be willing to take feedback and analyze our own attitudes and perceptions.

3. What improvements or changes would you like to see implemented? Staffers, keep up the good work. Posters, keep sharing your information and opinions, with sensitivity and respect for others.

I couldn't wait for them to see the Gopher's pre-game show in person. #3 Watching Gopher football return to campus at TCF Bank Stadium with my brother and nephew.
